I noticed a small amount of grease seeping from my driver LBJ today after installing a CB shim to my driver shock. To help aid in the removal of the shock, I had to stand on the wheel hub a few times to help compress the shock spring.

I don’t see any grease seeping from passenger LBJ.

Could the grease seepage be from standing on the wheel hub like I mentioned or from the increased spring compression from the shim I added?

Is there any cause for concern here?

the boot isn’t torn and still feels like it should.

    44k miles on truck.

    Thanks!

If the boot is not damaged, I would say it's from the excessive flexing for the work you did.

Just keep an eye on it.

I will also note your stuff looks a lot rustier/dirty than my 2014 with 78k miles but that could just be dirt and picture quality.

I wish my ball joints looked that good. After lots of miles on rough trails, 3 / 4 have shot grease everywhere. Still holds alignment and doesn’t wander so I’m running it.
