Has anyone else gotten a perfect Toyota box packaged extremely well and opened it to find the headlight broke? I just opened my boxes from Sparks Toyota to find the RH headlight broke in two places. It looks like they broke it then packaged it up and sealed and shipped.

    Ohhh man that’s sad :angrygirl:

Seems like they don’t care about this expensive things when I got mine I received a really beaten box but fortunately the contents were in good shape.

They must take responsibility for all the damages and replace them

I’d assume they came to Sparks from the factory like that, or whoever distributes them to the dealers. Sorry that happened to you, what a pain in the.....when all ya wanna so is put em in and lite em up.

Yes I think these were probably packaged in mexico. I just see no way they could have been damaged as well as they were packaged and no sign of abuse on the box.

Yeah, I just got mine yesterday from local dealer. I can see how they could break the way they are packed, but the packaging would show abuse. Probably broke when they pushed em down in the box.

Hey @1lowlife, I copied your set up. Do boat launches in the dark so it’s good to have just the amber on so as to not blind others backing up. Thanks for posting, I wouldn’t have even thought that was possible. And of course thanks to @iHacker for such an amazing product and service.

I just installed mine finally. I got the full dim harness ,but i DID NOT run the red wire into the cab.Just installed the harness to the head lights and tested.Dim led drl and bright amber drl perfect.I zip tied the red wire under the hood so if i decide i want them to got go bright and also auto dim with head lights on all i have to do is run the red inside and connect it. Super easy and harness is TOP NOTCH!

Thanks IHacker for an excellent Harness built second to none. Super easy install.Guys be sure to check your head lights as soon as you get them from the dealer. My pass side light had a broken mounting tab that goes on the fender. I only opened one box when i got them 4 months ago and it wasnt the box i opened lol. But i was able to reattach it to the housing by drillnig a hole in the tab and the piece still on the housing and zip tied them together.Worked perfect ,light it tight and if you werent looking for it probably wouldnt even notice it. Seems when the lights are packed in the box at the factory ,either the packer is a bit rough or something ,very little protection for the tabs the way they are packaged. Was NO damage to the box so.

Same thing happened to me. I didn’t even notice the tab missing until I was ready to reinstall the light. By that point, I was losing daylight and said screw it; it’s held fine since with the tab missing.

Anyone reading this that hasn’t pulled the trigger on this, do it. First time driving a while in the dark last night and holy cow.
Also, try your local Toyota dealer first, mine priced match without question and it saves shipping. Also if there’s a problem you can just bring em back. I called on a whim for the heck of it, assuming they’d laugh me off the phone. Maybe I got lucky, or the right guy answered, but it’s worth a shot.

Those of you that have install the non-dimming option do you regret it at all? Is it too bright at night?

Nope. I haven’t been flashed yet and that’s my only measure of being too bright.

I guess it might be dependent on your dealer (in addition to the parts rep you speak to as well).

I tried 5 dealers within 15 miles of me - none of them would price match. I didn’t get a feeling that asking in person would make a difference either. It was a flat no lol:cool::confused::(
