With. As you can see, it almost seems brighter on the camera before turning on the headlights. I know cameras and bright light don't mix well, but it shows how bright the LED DRL are in full bright mode.

On a side note, anybody notice the little mod I had to do to my garage floor to fit the truck in?

I went back and forth on this and decided to keep the amber, I loved the bit contrast it gave. Just my opinion but I've never been one for following the crowd too closely, a little bit of different is nice.

Did you get the dimming harness? I would delete the amber DRL but that just my opinion.....to much going on with LED DRL strips top and bottom and an Amber DRL...just my .02

I had my mind made up both ways several times. ;)

It's super easy to remove, though so for those that prefer it without it's no biggie.

I'm with you and I'm keeping the amber. I like that it's a little different.

Yes, I went with the dimming harness. I'm pretty much set on doing the amber delete, just wanted to see what the consensus was.

    Need some help....

Hooked everything up keeping the amber and I'm not getting the LED DRL's. They come on with the headlights, but nothing while in drive with parking brake off. I tapped into the grey wire and the black wire like instructed.

I just installed mine last weekend with the dimmer harness. Mine works perfectly and I went without the amber. However, if I had to do it over again, I would have done the non-dimming harness because I think I would prefer the lights not to dim down (they are not that bright IMO) and all the extra work for the dimming is not worth it to me. I could have spent half the time not going into the cab with the dimming feature.

I did discover a trick to unpin the gray wire that may be useful to someone. I did not have the de-pinning tool but I did have an ice pick type tool but I could not get it depinned with any tools (not even close). I depinned it by holding the harness lock up with one hand and then using the other hand to pull very hard on the actual wire (pull close to the harness), and it popped right out without damage. I bet I could use this technique over and over again to de-pin. I figured if I broke the wire, no big deal because it would have been broken close to the harness or at the pin, and I would just solder the wire to the connection (leaving the pin in the harness will not affect anything so long as no wire is run to it).

Apparently there are two grey wires and I was tapped in to the wrong (thick) one. It's the thin grey wire that needs to be used. Thanks @iHacker for the support!!

    All fixed and working now!

I almost made that same mistake. It is the thin gray wire.

2018 Platinum headlights are installed, but my turn signals are hyper flashing. I recall the previous owner mentioning he installed led turn signals into the housings. Could this be my problem? Do i need to do anything else to keep the LEDs or do i need to swap my old turn signal bulbs into the new housing? Overall install wasnt too hard, but depinning for the amber drl delete was a pain. @iHacker made the harness spot on for the swap.

Yes definitely the LED turn signal bulb is causing hyperflash but adding load resistors should fix the problem

Thanks for the quick response. Are there any specific ones that you recommend? I assume I'm okay to drive like this until i install the load resistors right?

You can buy the 6 ohm resistors, yes is safe to leave this as it is until you have the time to install the resistors

Has anyone else had any problems with their LED DRL turning off and on? I can hear a click that sounds like it is coming from the left side of my dash. The headlights don't click on and off.

Hello buddy, to me sounds like a loose connection double check the gray>black wire connection, did you kept the amber DRL or just the LED?

Okay I'll check that out. It's been a long time since I did it but I think I removed the amber DRL by cutting the wire.

Ok that makes sense, if you cut the wire the best way to keep it secure is soldering to avoid this kind of problem.

    keep me posted.

The full LED headlights don’t have any user serviceable LED bulbs (except for side markers and turn signals) but if you don’t want to change the whole headlight housings I recommend you to check the H4 Phillips Xtreme Ultinon.

Yep the Phillips bulbs are great I had them in my truck and they are bright enough and had a decent cutoff not scattered like most of the Amazon cheap bulbs, I heard Phillips came out with the 2nd gen of this bulbs I believe I had the first gen so probably the new bulbs are even better.

    I paid $250
