Finished install of 2019 TRD Pro headlights into my 2017 Limited yesterday. Used the harness with dimming. I did not purchase a terminal extractor and wish I had. After trying needles, pins and other assorted things, I ended up just cutting the grey wire and soldering into the harness... Live and learn.

I of course forgot to set me old headlights to 0 before the install, so it seems to be off between the old and new. Still able to adjust, but any advice for getting them back in original sync?

Doing my install right now. I set my height to 0 and marked a sheet of plywood. Hope they’re gonna be good. Threw on those 20” Platinum wheels yesterday too. It’s all coming together now.

Success! Now to put it back together.
I noticed my lights were about 4 clicks higher. Lowered the dial to 2 below to align with the marks I made before removal.

    thank you @iHacker !!

Do most people get the normal dimming or non dimming version? I'm still debating between the 2...

Depends on what you like but I did mine non dimming since I’m not handy with electrical wires stuffs.

^ Like he says, this depends on what you like to have the DRL to work, if you are ok with electrical wiring I recommend you the full harness (dimming option) but if you don’t like to be around wires non dimming is recommended I promise you don’t have to cut or cause permanent damage to a single wire everything can be reverted to factory state of you follow the instructions correctly.

The most popular option is the dimming harness

Ohhh I just saw your message and noticed your truck is a 2019 that means you don’t have to worry about dimming or non dimming harness in your case you only need the plug and play harness and they’ll dim as it should, your truck already comes with LED DRL and the dimmer is already installed in your truck

Thank you @iHacker for the wire harness. Awesome!!!! Step by step instructions on here were great! Went fairly smooth. That dang rubber nipple going through the firewall is a pain to get to and cut.
    Thanks again.

After all the success @iHacker has had with his harness, I am surprised that dealerships are not beating at his door wanting to stock these as add on sales for Tundras.

seriously I was just thinking the same thing but I’m sure there’s liability mixed in there that they don’t want to have on their back.

Dealers install after market suspensions and tires and wheels among other items all the time, I doubt this would be any different.

Killer harness @iHacker and thanks for the rapid response to my questions along the way. The new lights are in and look fantastic! Huge difference from the stock 17's. Thanks again!

Since I have 17 Pro I need to buy LED dimming harness. I am not the best at wiring but I don't want to blind oncoming traffic. I assume that will happen if I don't get dimming harness. How hard is the install for dimming kit? Not good at wiring.
I previously installed HR Supernova LED bulbs and the output was much better. Do the new LED headlights have better light output than my Super Novas. Here a photo of Supernova bulbs. As you can see there is some light scatter. I also noticed the light get absorbed on wet payment. Do the new LED have that problem. Really looking at switching over this time.

I used the non-dimming harness and I've never been flashed. My neighbor has a 19 Sport and his DRL's are dimmer with headlights on but it's not too crazy.

I see some cars out there (I'm looking at you, VW) that have DRL's that are practically spotlights they're so darn bright.

I installed the pro headlights back in the middle of December with ihackers harness and absolutely love them. Everything was plug and play. Well worth it.0FA26E4E-9B3B-48D8-B318-D364D76D41C6.jpg366FB9CD-0C49-4342-8B06-47B7EE7BE046.jpg

I'm about to install mine this weekend! Are most doing the Amber delete when installing?

Just my opinion, but it looks better with the amber delete and the dimming harness, more OEM.

This the LED dimming harness or without? Looking at going without since I suck a wiring.
