Quick question, I have the PNP harness for my 2018 Tundra. I noticed that the 2019 lights are now available from Toyota of Cool Springs. Are there any differences between the 2018 and 2019 LEDs and does it matter which I order?

    Thank you!

They have a slight change in color but nothing in the electrical side changed I posted a few pictures check this out

TRD PRO is glossy black and the other is kind of black/smoked chrome

How informative are the instructions on installing the harness and hooking up the pro lights? is there a video with step by step? I want to change out my lights to the 2019 pro led's but i want to make sure its nothing to crazy before I start taking things apart. Thanks in advance or any help

I just did this with @iHacker 's harness. I hate doing electrical but it wasn't too bad. THe only b1tch is the gray wire which you are supposed to remove from an existing harness under the steering wheel but i ended up cutting it and just twisting it with the wire you are supposed to connect it to with electrical tape (other's have done the same). Took longer than i thought but iHacker answered all of my questions instantly. The end result is really nice.

Good tips. I’m getting ready to do this again and cutting the nipple was the hardest part for me (harder than depinning the harness because I bought the depin tools iHacker recommends in the DIY post). I’ll have a helper push a screwdriver from inside the truck. Any tips on the cutting device used that made it easier? I used a raw razor blade but again, I had a heck of a time getting the nipple cut.

The screw driver did this trick for me I use a long phillips screw driver from inside to the hood until the nipple breaks.

Ah ok nice, so just puncture the nipple with the Philips screwdriver...nice, thanks!
Yea I struggles to get access. I did it, but it took me longer that I would have liked lol
Good point. I have a small pair of diagnol cutters that will fit down there. Between this and pushing the screwdriver through, it’ll be easier this time.

    Thanks everyone! :)

I ended up taking a hard straw like this I had laying around. Cut the tip to a point. Pushed it through from the inside. Cable fit through the straw. then just pulled straw back through. Not sure I even needed to tape it up to seal it. Did anyways though.

If any of you are on the fence about iHackers harness and the 2018 or 2019 headlights... just give Roman and iHacker your money. I just installed the lights using the iHacker harness and everything worked as he said it would with superior quality materials over the retro HIDs that me and everyone else has had a horrible experience with. Just cut your losses and do it!!!

A few tips from my install... using a hard straw with the tip cut to a point worked great to get the wire thru the firewall grommet. Put some dawn dish soap on it to make it easier to push thru the tube. Also, I choose to remove my battery to give me more work room... however when I lifted the battery I somehow un clipped :frusty: the airbag sensor near the radiator. When you get everything back together and your airbag warning light will not go out... might check the connections.. they are all bright yellow.

I just got my V1 harness installed, bought it a while back and then went on a deployment. Even with the old harness iHacker was amazingly helpful and I would recommend his product to anyone looking for an upgrade.
