I will be switching out the fog lights in my '17 Platinum for the '18 LED and have a question about the removal process. I've done a search and read many posts about the removal and all seem to concentrate on pulling them out from the front. This seems to have involved a lot of trial and error with attempts through the wheel well and/or removing the grille, headlight shroud, and the magic blue clips. Also, it appears that a zip tie was added in the '16 model. My question is since I'm doing a direct factory replacement, wouldn't it be easier to simply go through the wheel well and unscrew the single Phillips head screw to pull the light out? From a general observation standpoint, this seems much simpler than going through the front, cutting the zip tie, remove clips and pull the whole shroud out?

Go through the wheel well. Trust me on thus one. You still have to pull the blue clip.

From what I understand, the blue clip pulls to the side in order to remove...correct? So, 1) Pull blue clip, 2) Unscrew Philips screw, 3) Pull light out?

I believe you are correct. I vaguely remember but I do remember pulling it to one of the sides.
