Two months ago I went to crank up my truck and it was dead. The battery was three years old, so I decided to buy a new battery. About a week ago the battery was dead again. After getting a jump I took it to the dealer. They said my aftermarket HIDs headlights/fog lights were causing the issues. So I took it home and put stock lights back in. I am still seeing my voltage meter on the dash jumping. I am also getting dimming cab lights when they are turned on. Idle is around 1100rpms. Any help would be greatly appreciated since my warranty has run out.

Start with a load test (often free) of that new battery, and make sure the posts / clamps and clean to bright metal and are tight. Just because a battery is only 2 months old doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good.

Make sure all the secondary grounds are all connected.

I will clean all the terminals and make sure everything is tight when I get home. I do not but they don't look too expensive. What would I be looking at the current from the battery? Are all the secondary grounds close to the battery? Thanks for all the help.
