This is sort of true about rebound damping. Rebound damping keeps the wheel from dropping back down fast, but if the tire is on the ground, it has nowhere to go, and this spring pushes the bed up. If you have too much damping, yes it won’t fall into the whoop fast enough and you’ll get packing through the whoops as the rear slowly starts running lower and lower to the ground. So you would think you want the rebound faster and allow the wheel to drop into the valley of the whoop.

But if the truck bottoms and starts to rebound before the top of the whoop, that wheel will start to fall down, trying to get into the valley of the next whoop. But since you’re still on the upside of the whoop, the tire is in contact with the dirt and instead of being able to go down, the bed goes up.

    Bucking bronco rodeo ride.

That’s what I’ll be going with once the pickup’s paid off. The Can Am’s are overall a better choice than a Polaris from where I’m sitting. Drove 90 down a country road in my neighbor’s last week, and we weren’t even pushing it to the limit.

Made a decision.... decided I didnt need heimed uppers....and decided to save the money on a boxed "billet" arm like the Camburg Kinetic or Icon Billet.....So picked these up from SDHQ!

Now just trying to get some confirmation about Kings 3.0 for the front and then save pennies one at a time for 3.0's, and TC Lowers and we will be all set!

I’d put a hard vote for running a 2.5” bypass with the 2.5” coilovers over running a 3.0” coilover. Will be cheaper in the end and you will actually gain performance :)

Any particular reason for the lowers? I know they’re crazy expensive and haven’t seen any good reason to get them yet.

It’s just a want over a need. I’ve seen some Tacoma lowers break. The tundra ones are super beefy. But I’d love having matching uppers and lowers! It would only happen if I had some extra money that needed spending.

Installed my TufSkinz today, Black/White Color Combo. I think it looks sleek and this will keep stuff from sliding around all the time.

Looks like a lot of preload, how much lift? I have kings as well with stock settings but my d-side is leaning, you think I can adjust them without taking the coil over out? Jack up LCA, loosen nut then start cranking or is there more to it? Thanks

won't work...I was like you and had to remove them, use a spring compressor then turn the collar down...PITA
we put 4 more turns on the driver side. I could have gone 5.

I only have about 2” of lift, the uniball looks maxed out because the truck was still on jack stands in that pic. Also my springs have like 60k on them now so that’s a factor as well.

no it's fine. still plenty of thread left. I have the stock 600(?)lbs springs. I heard with the 700 you can adjust on the truck because less pre load.

x2 on just adding 2.5 bypasses over going to 3.0s I know @KevinK will say otherwise but 3.0s with 2.5 bypasses are overkill in my opinion. and 2.5s paired with bypasses is gonna get you more than just 3.0s obviously

But, but, I love overkill.

Bypasses will give you better adjustability than the 3.0 alone, so if it’s an either or situation, I’d go with 2.5 coilover and 2.5 bypass.

But I still love dat three point oh lyfe.

    I mean technically 2.5 + 2.5 Does = 5.0!!!
