I have a 2017 Tundra without the auto on option. My truck does have the wiring to the daylight sensor location and is plugged into a dummy location. Can auto lights be added?

No idea, but I do know that auto on feature also requires a sensor for it to determine that it is dark enough to kick the lights on. It also probably has a special ECU setting as well that may be lacking in your truck. I know because my truck has a setting that allows me to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor, i.e. it grants me control of how soon the lights kick on based on the conditions. I keep it fairly sensitive so they kick on when it rains.
