I'm not sure if posting a thread is the same as asking a specific question. I have a 2016 Tundra X cab with tow package. Made a trip from Albuquerque to Denver using cruise control . All went well, no issues. Next trip towed my R-pod (3500#) to our cabin. Twice, using the cruise control, the cruise shut off and the tach went to 4000 rpms but the engine went to idle even though the tach said 4000. Got on the gas and engine revved up and tach went to the appropriate rpm. So what's up.

That's weird. I used cruise control when I towed a 2 or 3 k trailer up to Memphis. No problems. Maybe it was too heavy for cruise?

Forget you have CC when towing. Don't use it. Every time I enter a highway I switch to (S) mode and pretty much stay inbetween 4th and 5th gear. Make me feel more In control while towing and no crazy up or down shifting. Stay alert and keep on Truckin.:burnrubber: Cheers!
