I've had a squeak coming from the passenger side area under the dash for quite awhile, and I'm getting real tired of it. The squeak is high pitched and its always there no matter what the weather is outside. I can only hear it while driving and it happens mostly when the truck is hitting small quick bumps. I've pulled the glove box out and all other removable trim pieces in that area and I cannot find this squeak. I've pulled the windshield cowl off to see if it was rubbing on something, but even with it removed it still squeaked while driving. I'm about to give up and take it to the dealer, but since I have 79k miles it's not under warranty, and I don't want to pay a bunch of money just to fix a squeak. I've fixed multiple rattles in this truck, but this one is kicking my ass. If anyone body has any info or experience to share about dealing with this, I'd very much appreciate it.

    Has the windshield been replaced?

No, but it does have a crack near the bottom.

Hmmm...makes me wonder if the windshield is rubbing against something? Like the crack has caused the glass to move slightly?

I've actually thought about that and tried pushing on the glass while driving to see if the squeak would change or go away, but it didn't change anything.
