Stock batteries suck. I replaced mine around the year 2 mark when it started to go.

I have a ‘14 4Runner and just had to replace the battery. There was no way of knowing the battery was bad until you tried to remote start it when it was very cold out. It would start, then die immediately, and be dead after that.

A little of this and a little of that.
The extreme cold is bad on batteries. I live in Vegas so it doesn't get that cold here. It'll be about 62 degrees for a high today. :)

I just replaced my battery in my 2013 last year. 2X

    Cold cranking amps 710
    Cranking amps 890

    Height 8 7/8

There are more expensive gel types out there but consider it's an insurance policy for 89.99$ every 3 years. When you're in a climate that cold we sometimes are miles from pavement, would you risk your life over 100$ .?
