hello folks, new to this forum. I was on the 4-runner equal to this and found many interesting thoughts when questions were asked.

for introduction I am a native Texan, served (4) years in the USAF medical corp (two remote assignments), a retired police officer with 32 years of service, and now a small time gardener here in East Texas. I am active in my church and the Lions Club.

now the question, I bought and sold/traded a 2018 4runner at a profit and bought this 2014 Tundra crew cab v-8 2wd. There are some body areas that need repair, one being the bed at the cab. Someone drove their 4wheeler into the bed and failed to stop before hitting the front header. For a project I intend on repairing the front header.

Anyone out there personally done such as I can read on it can be done. I would like to remove the header, straighten it, then reinstall same. It has a sprayed in bed-liner which came as a package new.

    Your experience please?

Welcome from UT! I don't have much experience personally with the front bulkhead of the bed, but I have heard mentioned that it can be replaced, with some welding. However, the cost would probably be easier to stomach getting a used bed off a wreck. If it's something that you can straighten, that would probably be the easiest route. Hammer and a straight 2x4.
