2014 tundra 4.6L sr5

Good evening first time Toyota owner loveit so far question. I have the tow package but dont have a switch. Is it prewired for a switch to the right of the steering wheel and any advise for after market parts is appreciated

 

A switch for what?

 

A tow haul swtich

 

If you have the tow package, there should be a button that says "tow haul" on the left side of the steering wheel.

 

It's on the steering wheel in the Third Generation?

How do you know your truck has the tow package?

 

I have the gay column shifter and it's on there. Is yours the same?

 

I do have that column shifter i was expecting a switch or button like on my surburban.

 

Welcome Jason. My "Haul A.." switch is on the right side of the dash but, I don't have the column shifter.

There is no tow package for third gen 4.6 tundras. Sorry, you got the tow hitch option. No tow/haul, no trans cooler, no what ever else it come with.

 

^^^ what he said. I have the 4.6L with a tow hitch. Thought I had a tow package too when I bought it. Turns out it just has towing capabilities.

 

@joem1cha3l what the most you have towed with your truck.

 

Honestly Jay, just my enclosed 5x10 trailer after I purchased it from the trailer dealer. Haven't had it loaded w anything yet.

Since I put the bigger tires on, It definitely drags ass a little bit. If I were to keep it, I think a re-gear would definitely be a priority for me.

 

Ya i hear you. I have a 27ft travel trailer and not sure if i want to chance it just couldnt pass up the they made me on the 4.6

 

Good thing about the Yotas is that they hold their value pretty well. If it doesnt work out, trade it in and get the 5.7
