    I recently purchased a 2014 tundra 1794 and the sunroof doesn’t work.

The fuse is fine, and I tried pressing down and holding the buttons and wiggling them around. I don’t hear any sounds or movement when I do this.

Does anyone have troubleshooting suggestions for me? The more detailed the better.

    Thanks in advance!

Do you have a scan tool with bi directional control?

They are great for stuff like this. Might be worth the investment if you wrench at all. I couldn’t live without one.

I had a friend use his scanner on mine, it’s 100% the motor. I disassembled the motor housing itself and everything seems to be working other than the actual motor.

Does anyone know where I can just buy the motor rather than the motor and the whole housing? It’s kinda pricey

Can you pull the motor apart for examination? My experience with sunroofs and even like power rear windows on Sequoias, is the motor gets sticky if not used regularly. If you can’t disassemble the motor, try gently wrapping on it with the back of a hard handle screwdriver while someone keeps jogging the power. It might unstick itself. If it does, put it back together and use it frequently.
