    Hello,
sorry I ready through and I am trying to get a better idea of what you ultimately needed wiring wise for the steering wheel. I had always planned to go with a 2014 wheel since their cluster is the same and figured that would work. You are doing everything I thought of the day I bought my sequoia. I hope it all works out.

The steeringwheell needed switches and the connector from a 2014+. The connecter to the clockspring is different. I have all functions I had minus the HVAC which I never used.

I will need to wire in the 2020 switches to keep the info functions in the new cluster if I get it to work.

The PDR guy came & made it like it was not there, saved me more than 500 bucks, he gave me a company that does bumpers that are coming Tuesday to give me a quote, they did not want to from pictures.

Got the cable together, it's a mixed bag but progress.

    Good news/bad news.

It immediately saw open door when installed.[IMG]

It sees the 4WD status. Sees gas & volts, no oil or water no tach.[IMG]

Code U0155 indicates the instrument cluster is not receiving or transmitting messages on the CAN bus.

    Hey
So how has the tune been treating you after 5 months? What kind of improvements have you seen? Better shift points? Mpg boost? More giddy up? Is the remote tune detectable?

I’m very interested in a tune but haven’t done one before. When working with Victor on the tune did you get to customize it at all or is it a general tune for sequoias? Kinda bummed his thread says he’s taking a break from remote tunes. DAP is relatively close to me but have heard it’s a ghost town after getting the tune if you’d need an adjustment.

    much appreciated

Viktor is/was great. The truck feels great. It's more responsive, shiftpoints are better, mpg still sucks but it is a huge v8 4x so can't complain.

I don't think it is detectable but that is not a question I asked.

    I'm glad I did it.

Trying to learn the cluster. Read the truck, trying to "play" the data to the cluster.

My TPMS, which worked for a year stopped yesterday. Gauges are fine. Weird stuff, I was going to call IDATALINK but thought, let's see if there is a new firmware.

Since I have had the Sequoia for a year and know it expires in May I logged into the the MVD site and it says 8 days. Luckily it does not need smog so I paid it. I am used to getting a notice so I call, tell the woman I just paid my registration online and it was expiring in 8 days and I have another car that expires next month and I am concerned about that one.

She is relatively rude and asks if I have an account online. I literally just told her not only that I do but I paid for my renewal and am concerned about the other car she says it's a courtesy notice and we're debating continuing it.

I said you could have just said I'm sorry you did not get your notice, sorry the system is buggy from an upgrade and we have not finalized the notices but good thing you have the account and were proactive instead of being rude & hung up.

Here are a few as she sits, not washed yet, they said 48 hours. I'm giving it 72.

I am going to have the upper & lower parts of the grill wrapped in the same color.

CAI ordered early Decmber. finally came. AFE stepped up, upgraded the cai, threw in a second filter & cleaning kit I knew about & sent a bonus backpack.

It's in. Sounds ok, It's 20 degrees warmer than ambient because it has an open swath in the radiator facing side. I closed that up.

Closed it was the same temp as OEM, it sounds great and feels a bit spunkier (but I'd say there are most likely no measurable gains.)

After installing the intake, I saw that my throttle body was dirty, after cleaning it I installed an oil catch-can. I didn't want to spend upwards of 200 on the can so I found this pretty nifty one for 40 delivered on eBay.

It's in using stuff I had lying around and I'm happy.

The catch can was drawing air & making a lot of noise. I asked in the catch can thread and was told it's causing another intake port & ruining the PVC vacuum.

I have this without the filter:

So I dragged this out of my drawer of parts:

Installed the filter over it & cranked down the clamp, no noise!

While I had the cover out I decided to clean it.

Post an update please with the contents of your catch can. I wonder how much it will collect over a few thousand miles.

Building the Arduino based interface has begun!

All thanks go to Jeff_5_7 !

I ordered it with the pins installed, after the second try I just decided to solder them, my 20+ year old Weller crapped out, I ordered a new station.

Cool! What’s in-line for the Arduino? I’ve got a couple Rpis at home I tinker with.
