No, I just drilled the plate. There are plugs that were the same color as my frame I did not see. I'll measure so he can drill the hole for Sequoias in the right place.

 

went to replace the lug and was going to do the brakes that I have had for 6 months but the brakes that are there are still close to new.








Apparently, lug replacement is now a yearly thing for me as my One drive reminded me I did the 86 last year on this day.

 

This came today. It makes picking the Sequoia up much easier.

I have no clue how this happened, it came like this but it's driving me crazy. The mirror my truck calls for is over 400 due to the directional and chrome cap.

That one is 150. Does anyone know if I can install my directional mirror and if it will work in I assume a base mirror body?

 

People dog on Harbor Freight, but I have one of these floor jacks for going on 8-9 years without any problems. Casters even still turn fine. Making me want to look for a late 2000's Sequoia. Keep up the good work!

 

HF tools that don't need electricity have been fine for me. I had a solar trickle charger that melted in the sun (replaced 3x) let it melt the last time.

 

My cordless air pump came, completing my "road trip emergency kit" I already had tire plugs, serpentine belt and basic tools.

The DeWalt made sense as I already have the batteries and I like their quality. Turned out all four of my tires were low, I set the pump to 32 & they all needed 4+ pounds.

It fills in the under floor storage between my bags that have the rest of my gear perfectly!

 

I have been running numerous cleaners through the Sequoia since I got it, I got an endoscope yesterday, here's cyl 1.

Seems it's doing a great job where the gas hits, any ideas on the rest?

 

Looks great! I wouldn't worry much about it. I've always read that Seafoaming the engine through the intake does a great job.

 

Are you losing any oil between changes? Some carbon is inevitable in the combustion chamber unless you are running E85 or pure ethanol. Doesn’t hurt anything.

 

Not a drop. I have only had it 4800 miles but did preventative fluids/ maintenance about 4400 miles ago.

 

That’s good. If your mind is open to try to gently clean the gunk out of your engine / piston rings and keep it clean, you can consider adding 4-6 oz of POE (polyol esters) to your oil changes plus supplemental ZDDP. Since your engine does not consume any oil, your cats should be safe.

 

I ran some POE & ZDDP for 200 or so miles before the oil change I did and ran E85 suppliment I have for my E85 BR86Z.

I can try some more before the next change in a few hundred miles. (doing 5k changes)

 

The way 3UR-FEs seem to go up in flames is when they develop an oil consumption problem through coked rings and/or clogged up PCV valve and the owner never checks the oil level. It can be quite theatrical when you go 70 on the highway and you hear a sudden loud noise. Your engine should be in good shape.

 

This is why my first act(s) on my used 5.7s was a cleaning regimen, oil change, 5k changes new plugs and keeping an eye on plug condition, (it is perfect) I just added the look inside because I found a good scope for under 100 bucks.

 

Just checked the oil, it's still a bit less than 1/4 quart high. (I overfilled it)
