I have a 2013 crew max sr5 with 70k. When i accelerated the stock exhaust seems louder than it should. Its gets quiet as it shifts however when i reach about 60mph (my typical speed when towing my camper) it gets loud again. Its so annoying that i either speed up or slow down to get rid of the noise. My wife has a 08 sequoia ( same motor) and its as quiet as a mouse. Someone told me its a baffle in the exhaust?? Any ideas? Thanks

Mine has a slight drone around 55, but quiets down at 60 (in 6th).

Dish soap (diluted) in a spray bottle and spray your pipes. Turn on the truck and check for excessive bubbling anywhere (indicative of a hole or loose connection or something).

Its definitely the original exhaust. Ill have to try the soap thing. Thanks again. This forum is great always quick responses. I belong to a motorcycle forum also and it takes weeks to get a response.

I have the same issue with the exact same vehicle with the same amount of miles on it. First noticed the issue around the same time as your original post. Did you ever find a solution to your problem? It's my first time on this site so I will have to search through all of the other forum discussions to see if this issue has been discussed elsewhere.

Yep, thanks for the reply. I took it in yesterday to a local guy I know and he suggested the same thing. I had a 2003 Tundra that has 180,000 miles on it before I needed a new muffler so I was surprised that within 5 years and 70,000 miles that I would already need one on this truck.
