2012 Tundra Engine Replacement

I have a 2012 5.7 Vin "W" Flex Fuel CrewMax 4x4 w/ 189k miles. Broken valve spring , valve stuck open in head, slight damage to piston but did not go through it.

Looking to replace engine while rebuilding original equipment and found a low mileage that is a 2016 5.7 Vin "W".

Will this swap out since I have a Gen. 2 and this is a Gen. 3 ? Electrical connectors match up ?

Or do I have to stick with a Gen. 2 ?

 

I don't see why it wouldn't swap over with out issue. The 07-21 has been basically the same platform with 5.7.
If for some unfor seen reason a connector is different the part that has the connector would be a easy bolt out n swap.
