I have a 2012 SR5 Tundra and just bought 17" Rock Warrior wheels, then someone asked me if there would be an issue with the brakes fitting inside the wheels since the stock rims are 18". Anyone have experience putting RW wheels on a 2012 SR5? Any issues?

Also, I am getting a 3/1 leveling kit installed and plan on putting 315 70R 17 wheels but want to make sure they won't rub. Anyone have experience here as well?

    thanks,

unless you have a big brake kit you won't have an issue. rock warrior brakes are the same as every other tundras brakes. You also shouldn't have too much issue with rub as the offset on RW wheels is +50 which allows the fitment of 35's with no rub. you might have to trim the plastic liner but thats about it

I'm not 100% certain but, I'm pretty sure the Rock Warrior's used the same brakes as the rest of the gen 2's.

actually, if you're doing a suspension lift your offset will make you need spacers because the UCA angles will change and the wheel will be too close to it

I have a 2010 RW that I put 35x12.50x17s on without any issues. I had already removed the plastic mud flaps and didn't have any rubbing anywhere else while driving on pavement. I know several others on here have successfully done the same or similar. You should be fine as long as you don't pick a 12.50" tire that is actually more like 13" wide.
