Thanks, i'm really pleased. it was expensive but way cheaper than a new 60k truck. I got tired of waiting for the "new" model. Lol.

So you can drop a Sequoia grill and headlights onto an 08tundra without issue? I'd love to do the same. Any advice on the items you picked up? Anything special to watch out for?

Thanks for the details. I was looking at possibly doing the upgrade. The costs add up though! I was hoping there may have been a cheaper way to get there, but dang, looking at nearly 1k to get the headlights and grill. Ouch!

Thanks again for the link! GLWS

can you post a picture of your truck with the hood open? I thought the sequoia pro grill stayed attached to the bumper when you open the hood which is what made me think this would be a more difficult mod than just swapping the grill out

That's why you need the two new brackets. It attaches the same as old grill but has different right and left bracket. IMG_1460.jpg

man you've inspired me to do this... I love your build.
I was following the sequoia headlight thread you linked on this thread and waiting to see someone post a pic of their set up with the pro grill but was thinking it was harder than it might seem, it will take me a while but I'll be doing this to my tunny for sure!

can you link the brackets that are needed to do the grill install?
also in your opinion would this look good with the Morimoto XB head lights or would they throw the look off?

The Morimoto XB head lights look great. I would just be worried about how long they would last vs OEM.

Too funny. This has turned into a Gen2 upgrade thread. :). Love it.

I also looked into it. The grill upgrade runs about 500 and headlight runs another 1k or so. I even checked the replica grill option and they just don't look nearly as good as the Sequoia TRD.

Sequoia and Morimoto headlights are on point. I looked at the generics to try to save some cash, but damn... Some nightmare scenarios of failure and yellowing in less than a year.

Thanks a lot man, I appreciate you taking the time to find those for me.
One day I'll have the money to do some of these cosmetic upgrades to make my truck as beautiful as yours is.

was it the Morimoto lights that were yellowing or something else? I haven't really read up on anybody reviewing them after they've had them on for awhile, just watched videos of them being installed so if they have issues it would be nice to know before I drop 1200 bucks on them

and yeah sorry I didn't mean to turn this to a 2nd gen upgrade convo but I have to get in where its still relevant hahaha

yeah .. 900 American = 1200 Canadian plus shipping... sounds like a lot until you consider the '18 Sequoia upgrade would cost me over $2500... still near the top of my list but everything I want to do is going to cost me a thousand bucks or more so its hard to just drop cash like that all the time .. UCA's, a 5100 adjustment and another alignment come first. it has to sit where I want it before it deserves a face lift

Now you made me go back and see what it really cost me....
    Sequoia Headlights on Ebay $900
TRD Grill, filler under headlights $460
    Brackets $65
Wire harness $120 (no longer available)
New paint for Gill, filler and including hood and fenders. (they needed paint too) $1350
    Grand total $2,895.
I didn't even realize how much I spent. Lol.

Woah! Thanks for the summary! That's exactly my fear of jumping into it. Definitely a pretty penny. :)

You could go all the way and upgrade the front end... My brother took it over the top and did this... This is his 2008.
