2006 Toyota Tundra double cab 2wd leaning to the right

    Hi, guys... I am back in forum with another question. I have my 2006 leaning to the right side (passenger). It’s my first time looking at it and spotting it. It has been lifted since I bought it with 20in rims and Toyota Tundra rancho quick lift leveling struts and shocks. I took the measurements today and it is by far 1” lower on the rights side. I took the measurements from ground to the back side of bed from both side. Any suggestions on what can it be?

    LED headlamps/fogs; interior footlamps.
    Coils commonly sag. Usually a vehicle gets "driver lean" because of the gas tank weight sometimes being on the driver side and springs are matched left to right vs balanced to the vehicle's specific weight distribution, what happens when coil/struts are shared among vehicles, oh well.

    Replacing the springs would be the optimal solution though there are other less expensive ways to try to create a more level ride yet many don't like those 'short cut' attempts. Luck.

    Thanks, for the info... but if it where not the spring. What other possible problem could it be? It is leaning from the back part passenger side 1” lower. Also the gas tank is on the right.

    Sounds like you got a weak/defective spring when you installed your lift. Warranty it or replace with a better manufacturer.

    That’s the other thing if it would be the strut in the back. I bought it with the lift. That’s what I do not know if it was like that since I bought it or this is a new problem.

    Well yeah more common is spring but could be strut/shock, worn bushings probably wouldn't affect things so much, super low air tire pressure - nah, so much rust on rear suspension components and/or frame such that something is sagging/broken - nah....

    Sorry to ask, when you say “so much rust on suspension components or frame such something is sagging and broken”. What do you mean in terms of sagging/broken. Let me be more specific toward my question. Is their any other major component that can lead my truck to be 1” lower from one side than just the strut itself?

    Front Bilstein 6112 shocks & Bilstein springs. Rear Bilstein 5160 remote Reservoir shocks, Wheeler’s Off-road add-a-leafs. LED lighting. Pioneer Avic 7200NEX Nav Head unit. Borla cat back exhaust.
    Which corner is lower, driver front, driver rear, passenger front or passenger rear? Measure from hub center to fender. You say that you have the Rancho Quick Lift which I believe comes with springs.

    If the it’s the front, OEM Toyota springs have a left and right to compensate for one side being heavier. Either the Rancho’s are both the same spring rate, or they are swapped side to side.

    If the rear is off, you need to inspect the springs and bushings. Maybe the rear springs are bad.

    FYI, when referring to right & left, it’s from sitting in the driver seat. Driver=left, passenger=right

    My vote is that one side has a more worn strut bushing, you're springs are just funny, or you have something else worn like sway bar end link bushings that are putting tension on one side at ride height.

    The only thing right know that the truck has for its lift it just the rancho spring that I mentioned. I wouldn’t know how tall would it be... like I said the only side that I see lower is passenger (right) rear (bed). The thing about it is that I can notice it.

    Shocks have nothing to do with the leveling of a vehicle. It's the coils on the struts or springs loss tension. You would have to have some serious bushing rot to make that drop, I doubt that, but you can look and see that for yourself.
