Can anyone provide information about an OEM manual transfercase on a 2006 Sequoia? What would be the benefit over the electric transfercase, and would it fit an 06 Tundra DC?

I wanna say @ethan1911 has a manual xfer case as well as @Northboundtundra . They may not be the same, but it's a start in that direction.

good chance thats not a standard t case and it is a AWD sequoia.. it could fit. but you'll have some wiring to do and some cutting

there is still an acutator on the t-case. its not 100% manual. the only 100% manual setup would be an FJ t-case.. which also should technically fit. but wiring to get the ADD working would need to be done

What drive-related switches were on the dash? I would think it has to at least have a center diff lock switch to allow AWD/4WD modes.
Older 4Runners with Multi-Mode had a 2WD/4WD switch on the side of the lever, and a center diff lock switch on the dash.

I don’t know what was available in a Sequoia.

So if one were to get that, all you'd need is a switch to activate the add?

No one answered this question. I'm curious too. I'm guessing the belief is that it's less prone to fail.

The sequoia case can still fail like ours. The lever just moves some things inside the case, the actuator is still on the case moving everything else.

a true manual t-case (fj) is indeed more reliable

I’ll have to go back and look at the dash and see if it has a switch or not.

If it has a center diff lock button there will be no 4x4 button. The case is always in 4x4
