Hey everyone, I'm Luke. I'm from Orange County, California and wanted to share my building with you guys. I would love to get crazy with the build, but it's a 2WD truck and I use it for work. Even though I use it for work, I'm a stickler for always keeping my things pristine, clean, and maintained. Thank you for all your shared info on this site, I used it as a guideline for my build.

I bought the truck with 150k miles on it from a small local dealer. The first order of business was getting the timing belt done. I took it to a mechanic to get that done, and ended up finding out that the truck needed quite a bit in terms of suspension components, bushings, steering rack, center carrier bearing, etc. FUCK. I was a bit frustrated at first, but this was my own fault. After the frustration wore off I started to get excited about doing a small build. All other work on the truck was done by my Dad and I.

    The Parts List:
    • Tailgate (Got a beat up white one from junkyard, had to bondo/sand and paint a few times)
    • Tail Gate bushings from @B40built on instagram
    • Window Tint
    • Flowmaster Super 40 exhaust w/ 3" outlet piping and black tip
    • Aisin Timing Belt Kit (water pump, thermostat, idlers, pulleys) (Done by mechanic)
    • Serpentine Belt (Done by mechanic)
    • Crossmember and mount (mine was missing two bolts and fractured) (Done by mechanic)
    • Transmission Drain and fill twice (Valvoline Maxlife ATF w/ lubeguard red) transmission filter, screen and gasket
    • Eibach Pro Truck Lift Kit Stage 1
    • OEM rack and pinion Reman from CVJ Axels & Power Steering Flush
    • OEM Lower Control Arms
    • OEM Outer Tie Rods
    • OEM LBJ's
      • Dorman Stabilizer Bar Bushings
      • JBA Upper Control Arms w/ new OEM UCA bolts (Mine stripped)
      • SuspensionMaxx Extended Stabilizer bar end links
      • New Headlight housings and fog lights w/ LED's
      • LED Interior lighting
      • Pioneer Touchscreen Head Unit.
      • 2 broken interior door trim handles
      • All 4 door exterior weatherstrips
      • Fuel Vector 17" wheels
      • BFG K02's 285/70/17

Thank you guys, glad to be here.

I forgot to mention above that I swapped out my oil filter back to original Denso, as well as Mobil 1 full synthetic high mileage. Also drained and filled my rear diff with 75-90 valvoline.

    Still to do:
Carrier Bearing and possible U-joints from Spicer
Valve cover gaskets a little down the road
    Rear roll down window weatherstrip
    Big brake upgrade

Word of advice, leave the double cardan joint alone unless you've got a lot of experience with them. Many shops won't even touch them and I've seen people end up just buying new driveshafts because they can't get it back together.

Thank you for the heads up, I'm going to get under the truck this weekend and inspect the u joint opposite of the double cardan joint and see if it even needs replacing
