Current bid at $20,500 after 14 bids.

My old asking price of $14k last week is too low on my truck now!

Man, I'm really, really mulling over whether to replace my side steps with bars like that. I feel like the OEM bars make the truck look way cleaner.

I have an 2000 access cab and they do look nice. Is there a good place to order OEM bars? Are they hard to find?

Too damn expensive. If you go hunting used or take-off, be sure to get the hardware. that's probably the most expensive part of it all.

Check my build page. I bought some sexy form fitting ones used from a junk yard last year for about $125 with hardware. The hardware is SUPER expensive if you need to purchase from stealer. I still had to modify some stuff, but very pleased with the results.

Is it really worth that? I mean, there are a heck of a lot of trucks you could buy for $30K. I just don't see the sense in spending that on a 17 year old truck with cloth seats...?

But what do I know. I dumped 6 grand into a truck with a rusty frame....

Not to me. That's the market for clean, rust free, low km Toyota trucks. And as a person who takes really good care of their vehicles, I love it.

I bought my 2003 Tacoma in 2003 for $31k CAD. Sold it in 2018 for $18k. Yes, it had the overland kit, but clean it was clean, rust free and low mileage.

I noticed the 1st Gens Tundras were way under valued about 10 years ago when a buddy over paid for a Taco and hated it. He sold it after 6 months and bought a Rock Warrior.

He thought the Taco would be like the 2002 Tundra but found differently. He hated the dash squeaks in the Rock Warrior.

New asking on mine is going to be 18k if I ever sell it. Nothing for sale Tundra wise around here except for bloated 07-13 Turds in the 15k range. Zero 1st Gens for sale in months.

Sales strategy will be the perfect size of the 1st Gen. I’ve read too many Turd Gens Guys say they wish they never sold and would love to go back. Taco goons are doing lateral trades for their over priced buck tooth looking underpowered stuff.

Getting multiple calls on the other Hand Model Mobile from stealer looking for me to trade in. Talked with a neighbor and he has been flipping cars without doing a thing to them due to the local auctioning being locked down. Making good coin.

Like I said the other day, now might be the time to sell before we are forced into battery cars or to live within 5 miles and walk to work mandates. Do your own research. It will happen fast if things sway one way soon.

    • Sellers pay a $99 listing fee, with the option to add our Plus photo service for an additional $250. There are no other seller fees on BaT.
    • Buyers pay a 5% fee on top of the final sale price to BaT, with a minimum of $250, and capped at $5,000.

    BAT = Pay too much.

It's strange why someone would buy something like this, especially at this price. First, even though 1st gen Tundras aren't depreciating, it's not like they will be classics in 5-10 years (maybe I'm wrong?). Second, this truck is so nice you wouldn't want to use it the way it was intended...

There's a dealership in Roseville asking $23k for a 89k mile Tundra. Besides the fact I don't really trust them (I have tried to buy a Tundra from them), the price is nuts.

    http://www.rosevilleautomaxx.com/Ve...uble_Cab&stk1=20224&dlr1=103&wsid=7&mk=Toyota

My understanding is not really. I have heard of people backing out of deals on BAT. BAT tends to get out of the middle after the auction is over.

While I like what you’ve done to your truck plus the upcoming SC, sadly your truck would fetch less than the ‘Grandpa Tundra’. Just from readings, many are leery of buying modded out trucks due to:

    1) They want to do their own mods.

    2) They are scared of prior manglings.

This is why I say mine will be worthless. I have made this truck mine, and only if I am at my lowest, rock bottom point will I even consider letting mine go.

    Wish made.
