Today, I rinsed, and gave Betsy the standard two bucket method as I was going to claybar her right after and wax tomorrow. Mind you, my truck saw maybe 10 miles in between washes and was super clean- so I thought. Take a look at the two buckets to see for yourself. Goes to show you how much dirt you truly collect- even on a clean vehicle.

I was out of Adams Detail spray so I grabbed the Meguiars and went to work. Tomorrow, I’ll be waxing it with this

That looks like either a maxi pad or a magic eraser. I’m sure it’s not the pad, so is it a magic eraser?

I’ve switched to using the nanoskin mitt. So much better than screwing around with clay.

Prior to applying your wax, I'd recommend a polishing step after you clay. Clay is, by nature, abrasive, and it's not unlikely that you will introduce some micro-marring.

That is crazy!! Is this truck garaged at night? If I leave the truck in the garage during a work trip I am amazed at how much crap it gets on it just sitting in the garage

Lol you’ve never used a clay bar before so you would say that :)

I’ve never heard of that. I’ll Google that!

I’m going to see what the guys at Adams say today. I just want something that won’t take me hours (by hand) to do if not needed.

Yessir. Every single day of its life. I just never pictured how much dirt it had. Mind you, I literally used some detail spray after washing it last week too.

There is also a TON of construction around Sean's house. Dirt and dust everywhere I'm sure.

That'll do it for sure...even the act of opening and closing the garage door will stir up dust which then settles on your car

This is the one I use:

Nanoskin AS-016 AutoScrub Fine Grade Wash Mitt https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DOS0LH2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_i_GLOiBbMV4G9B3

Their nanoskin sponges are good also, but things are faster with the mitt. The Carpro Polyshave block is another great product. In my experience, and from what I’ve read, it does just as good a job as clay. It’s also reusable. Just rinse it off.
I’ve been using these on the family and friends’ vehicles for quite a while.

I wish I had taken before and after pics, but a few weeks ago, I used Iron-X, followed by the nanoskin mitt for the first time on my truck. It’s only a year old, so it didn’t really need it for a while. It was gorgeous. As much as I wash my truck, I was still impressed with the difference.

My wife commented “It looks like it just came off the showroom floor!” Then I had to explain to her how offensive that was.

I had a good convo with Adams today at their facility.
They said you do not need a compound for this. This is technically a all-in-one sealant. It’s optional to use the buttery (Carnauba) wax for extra protection; but seeing how Betsy is a weekend warrior the sealant will last 4-6 months.
I opted to pass on the Buttery wax, but when I got home to research it more I now want it. I checked my detailing cabinet and have some of Meguiars Carnauba wax. I’ll go ahead and apply that after the sealant for extra protection.

    Common sense warning:
The last thing you want to waste time on is going over plastics buffing out was/sealant. Be sure to apply VRT (or similar) before to keep the plastic nice and shiny. (Just apply a few drops, rub in and buff out)
I’ve attached a before and after

Typically, AIOs (all in ones) have some abrasive in them, like McKees 360, Meguiars D166 or HD Speed, and thus have some correcting ability. Does the Adams Paint Sealant have that? If so, it sounds like something I have to try...i've read good reviews on it.

I’m not sure to be honest. Here is the link.

My entire truck feels like glass! Now, time for a beer and then I’ll add some Carnauba wax to it.
After I still need to hit the windows and then use some interior detailer.

    Wax done
    Windows done
    Interior detail done.

I already cleaned the wheels yesterday and the tires still look fresh from the other week. Waxaddict FTW!

I guess my questions revolve around time.............

    1. How many hours do you think you have in actual wash time between the beginning of this current wash, sealant, and interior detail?
    2. Who TF has this kind of time during the middle of the week to spend on washing a truck that looks like it could race the Baja 1000?
    3. Will you hire me so I can have toys like yours, and time like yours?

JK, buddy! I know you work your ass off and are damn good at and you deserve everything you're blessed with

Its what everyone should be using when washing their vehicles. And if said vehicle is black and you're not using 2 buckets to wash, it will definitely show.

Don’t cry yourself to sleep! It’s one for wash and suds while you rinse with the other as not to contaminate your suds

1 bucket is to rinse the wash mitt after it is used on the vehicle, preferably with a grit guard at the bottom. The 2nd bucket has the soap in it.
