A bit confused. I have an 03 tundra access cab, 4x4, ABS, LSD, 3.91 ratio. The diff is bad. Want swap 3rd members. I read a thread started by bmwahba. Want to know the consensus an compatibility? Can you all help me out?

I'm no expert in this but you just need another 3.91 ratio diff. Could be LSD or not depending on how desperate you are to keep it. The whole axle itself differs between double cabs and others but the 3rd member is the same as far as I know.

3rd is the same, with a caveat. The pinion flange differs between 2wd/4wd and/or RC/AC/DC.

Simple solution is to just swap your pinion flange if different (and do the pinion seal while your there).
