I did the LED swap into my overhead console when I bought the truck. Fell victim to crappy LED’s and had a flicker. When I replaced the map light led the prongs broke off and it’s not repairable. My question is the copper power ribbon replaceable or do I need to order a complete new overhead console.

Can you pull the console down and try to solder the prongs back on?

If not, you're probably looking at buying the entire assembly..

Which side broke? I have an extra console that I'm pretty sure the passenger side is good on. I can check in the morning for sure, if it will do you any good

    None. Keeping this one stock.
No. It didn't break. It just pushed the copper off the tabs. Normally. Just pull it down and you will see. Easy fix man.

You sure they broke off? Typically happens on the right side. You push bulb in. Like after market led. And it pushed the 2 contacts off the board. There are 2 little nipples that hold each one. I ahd same experience. More than once.

The 2 prongs that hold your bulb. Looking up at them. If you can't see them well, they are likely just up off the board. Leds fit a little tighter and thats normally what happens. You simply end up pushing them up off the board.

Well I had them slip off the nipple before a couple times. Then in an effort to add tension back to the clips I re-bent them in and of course you know what happened. The prongs snapped and I’m stuck with one map light. The driver side is the one that is damaged. I’ve tried finding the part on Toyota’s parts page but can’t find exactly what it’s called.

I can't do you much good, drivers side was also the ones I broke. Pretty certain they are bent 180 degrees different between passenger and drivers side.

Found complete overhead console online from a junkyard. It was like $80 or something. Good luck. Let me know if you think passenger side will work, they are yours.
