Hey guys, I’m hit or miss on getting traction in the forums but I was curious as to what you all would recommend for servicing and maintenance.

I bought the truck, 2016 TRD Pro, in March with 69k miles on it and today it has 135,365 miles.

My driving consists of long highway stretches to bumpy, rutted our lease roads in the oilfield. Very little stop-and-go city driving. I’m either going 75 on pavement or 25 off.

I intend on building this rig into a beast and want to make sure before I invest in more upgrades (Lift, Gears, etc.) I take care of the primary things.

Since I’ve had it, I’ve only got routine oil changes every 5k, tire rotations and one alignment. I haven’t had a need for anything other than that.

One thing I do know I am going to get done is a front end inspection. Any other suggestions?

Spark plus, and serpentine belt. I would be doing frequent air filter changes out there.

I just had my rear diff fluid change last 50K miles done in the dealer. My rear break pads is the next. I always have my tire rotated every 5K and of course oil change.

Brakes are good, just squeaky at times which I attribute to all the moon dust out here.

Transmission flush is something I considered but someone told me “at this point it would do more harm than good”.. which not sure what that meant

I just changed the spark plugs in a guys 2014 Tundra 5.7L with 150k miles yesterday and I was surprised how good they looked for the mileage. You could see the carbon building up on the grounds of the plugs 2hixh could eventually cause the truck to run leaner due to not getting optimal spark but they looked good. Replaced them with Bosch iridium plugs.

Highway miles are easier on an engine so your 5k oil change interval is good.

    Reccos:
    1) Turkey baste refresh your PS, and brake fluids at regular intervals. Easy DIY.
    2) Drain and fill your transmision fluid. Easy as doing oil change.
    3) As others mention, drain and fill all your diffs and transfer case.
    4) Keep your airfilter clean/changed.
    5) New Plugs.

I have 137,000 and flushed my transmission fluid along with reg. Oil changes but, one day about 2 months ago one of my back brakes started grinding without warning so I had to replace them in a hurry. It left gold dust stuck on one of my rims and its been a pain to get off. I probably should change the spark plugs as well. But, it runs and idles great.

I really like your Pro, very tough looking! Can you please post a couple of pics from different angles to see your bumpers? I'm wanting to upgrade to the fab fours premium rear, and fr the front full grille guard model you have. love the protection it offers.
