So, My tundra just did 22 miles in 13 inches of snow. I'm gonna call that a good test of the 4 wheel drive. I'm Pretty pleased with My new old rig. The snow is so bad tonight the plows cant even keep up.

Nice! Deep snowy days are nothing for the 1st Gens. Just another day for them. What tires you have? I ride on Michelin Defenders which is a nice road tire that happens to do very well in snow and sand.

No kidding. How will I ever get my automobile through the established roads that are covered with snow? Sounds fun to me. I remember going through 10-12" of snow with my locked 2wd ranger. Not fun! My tundra should do much better. Not to mention the BFG ko2 have surprised me in the snow. I was blazing the desert with 6-8" of snow no problem.

It actually can go either way. Just do a little research and you'd find that the man who founded Toyota was named Toyoda and so was the brand orignally. But in Japanese it was easier to spell it with a T so he changed the brand name to Toyota. Iirc the current CEO is a descendant of Toyoda and has that surname as well.

Not knocking the Tundra 4x4 but in my experience in snow, tires have more to do with performance than drive.... Looking forward to trying mine

On pavement maybe. Of course I'm from southeast texas so snow is a mystery to me. But I'll be tickled pink to watch a 2wd off-road.in the snow. You can pick your vehicle, tires and driver. I'll bring my own pop corn.

It rarely snows in the Puget sound, but when it does a good set of all weather tires in a front wheel drive will get you up most hills with a running start, and will get you going from a dead stop on a slight incline. It is night and day with shit tires....

Off road well that's a different thing :)

We got one of our random blizzards here in my part of TX. I went around pulling people out of ditches. 2wd people.
