Once again, you all are amazing. This forum is the best. Been saving my ass for years. I know it says I’ve had very few messages but that’s just cuz this is the latest in a number of burner accounts. Oh if only the mods didn’t have their favorite members they can’t stop defending when they shouldn’t, but that’s infrequent enough and this is such an invaluable resource. Coming soon, Adam’s newest burner account! Jk (hopefully)

I have an AC inverter behind the rear seat in my double cab (direct connect to the battery), but I wanted to have a AC outlet near my tailgate. I used this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09L7Q95HZ mounted to my factory bed liner. It has a rubber cover to keep water out.... I also used some RTV to help seal it to my bed liner. I typically only use it on larger items (like an AC pole chainsaw) so I leave the engine running to keep the battery charged.

Sealed is a major factor to me. I’ve got a powered bedcover similar to a Retrax, and it still lets in water during heavy enough rain. I’ve gotta work on that but this gives confidence I can keep it protected. Dust when I get off pavement can sneak in, too. Maybe my next stop is a quick search on solving that problem.
