Don't know how i didn't see this sooner. Appreciate it man. Lots of thought, money and stupidity has gone into this truck

That Chevy looks so awesome (as does the murdered out Pro).

My only real piece of advice is do a lot of research. There are a lot of knowledgeable guys on this forum, that can point in the right direction, but triple check everything you buy to make sure you really want it. Everything on this truck has a purpose and a use. Whether it's cosmetic or functionality, i put it on for a reason. But i have made some poor impulse buys and paid for it, literally lol

Hoping to add some more goodies soon!

I also love how it will show you what codes pop up (if that ever happens, hopefully not lol) but gotta $100 Amazon gift card for my bday, so picked mine up for $62 after tax! :bananadance: I'll post my review once i get it set up

Welp… as my luck goes, shipment for the ReadyLift coils has been delayed. I am told they will arrive Tuesday afternoon.
The light at the end of the tunnel: we have confirmed with ReadyLift that I will have the first pair of these in Houston

    So now, we wait...……………………………..

And the buildthread saga continues... the Rough Country In-line Speedometer is busted.. the USB module is “malfunctioned” and will not work when plugged in to the computer. Tried multiple computers and multiple micro-usb cable, and same error message. Disappointed in the way thing have panned out in the last week. I’ll be sending it back, for either a replacement or I’ll spend the extra $60 for a hypertech. Sheeeesh..

I have received the NEW ReadyLift 6-8" Bilstein Coilovers and man are they pretty. After feeling a bit under the weather last night, managed to mess around and mount the reservoir mounts and was able to get the coils pieced up, next is installation. Gonna knock that out tonight at my buddies place with some brews. Super excited to finally be running some coils, can wait to feel how it rides.

Also, big shout out to @Coachbuilder1 for the service. I contacted him Monday around noon about some shims and a bolt package, he overnighted them and they were on the door step by the time i got home from work Tuesday. Excellent guy and great to do business with. Will post the pics as soon as they are installed!!

It is complete. Took me and a buddy about 3 hours to get these things installed. You actually have to cut the lower control arm in order to fit the new assembly. This was a little odd, as there is no cutting involved when installing the actual ReadyLift lift kit. So we had to make a run to the ol home depot for a death wheel. Overall, If you have the tools, its not that hard of an install. Does take a little muscle a couple of jacks and definitely 2 people. Those assemblies are pretty damn heavy, and since we didn't remove any UCAs or tie rods, we had to manipulate them a bit. We rigged some things to work, but really only removed 3 heavy bolts. In total, only 7 per side (no including taking off the wheels).

I contacted @Coachbuilder1 Monday and he overnighted me 3 shims to counteract the lean and to give me a little more "oomph". We spoke on the phone and discussed that shims had not yet been used for this kit since it was so new. I believe I'm first to say that the shims and his bolt package worked beautifully and as described with this kit, I just had to snag some locking nuts from work, as the bolts provided are a different thread.

I took a shitty measurement the night before from the ground to the top of the bumper (wheels have so much offset, it hard to get one on the fender lol), but driver side was 42.25" and passenger was 42.75" (tundra lean). After install, both driver side and passenger side sit at 44.75". Like i said, not a real measurement, but you get it. The coils are pre-set to the 8" lift and the kit DOES NOT come with a spanner wrench to adjust. So no adjustments have been made and I'm not sure how much higher the coils could go.

Overall, I feel like the truck rides better. May be a placebo effect at the moment, but it definitely doesn't drive worse lol Going over speed bumps at work and i could barely feel them and the truck felt great at 75mph this morning on the highway. We'll see what happens after i get a few miles on them.

Thanks alot man. It was awesome to actually get under it and do a big time mod myself. This is the first time i've done an install like this, but man it was fun!

I have no idea whats next, so it'll be a surprise for both of us.

I'm super excited to see how the truck will react. MPG gain? Hope so!!

BADASS!!! I love everything about your truck except the window ventshades. Truck would look so much more streamlined without them. I never understood the point of those plastic thingies.

haha thanks man.. I live in Houston, so it's always humid as shit. So since it gets so hot, i always crack my windows. But this being Texas, the weather changes on a dime, so i got tired of water getting in my truck when it rains lol Thats the only reason i have them; to prevent my ass from cracking them and letting in water when it rains

5.29 Nitros are on the way!! :militarypress:Can't wait to get these bad boys installed!

Also, adjusted some of the PlashLight Rocklights on the truck: I previously had 1 pod installed below each door, so I moved 2 to the front bumper and 2 to the rear hitch. Below the cab, I now have a 6' PlashLight LED Strip on each side, from front to back. The light dispersion is much better and way brighter now. You can see how bright they are even under the white LED shop lights at my buddies place. The below photos haven't been enhanced or edited in any way, so this is how bright they are just sitting in the driveway :)

i use that bar everyday. Constantly have the windows down on the highway, this definitely helps

Installed the Hypertech Speedo Calibrator today I picked up from @lawrenceb .. can’t believe my speedo is correct now, it’s really weird. But I can already tell the RPMs are better on the highway and the speedo is right on the dot. Really want to see if the MPGs get better. Just a quick trip down the highway and a backroad, I was at 11.2. I know it’s small sample size, but previously was at 9.1... I’ll see this week headed to work if it’s legit. We left the USB plugged in so I can adjust easily once the 5.29s are installed. Won’t have to take the dash apart again lol

Little more update after this mornings 20 mile drive to work: truck is not searching for gears and the RPMs are much lower (consistent). Running 75mph, I'm only at 1600rpms, the truck feels like its not even noticing the 40s. When I parked, I was at 12.0mpg, which is slightly up from yesterday. If the MPGs stay in the 11-12 range, I will be very impressed with this install. I definitely recommend it to anyone with oversized tires.

Im gonna give it a week and see how it does. It’s really got me second guessing my 5.29s now.. if I can get 12-13mpgs and I’m not stressing the trans, I don’t need the gears

I should almost take notes from someone with experience

how will I know if I’m really stressing the trans? Like I said, RPMs are way down and the truck isn’t searching anymore. I mean, only been a couple days, but truck is way different now. Are there any real signs?
