Hit a pot hole on the way to doing my grocery ,anyways back window shattered just like that just by simply hitting a little pot hole and driving down a bumpy road ?? Called the dealer and they said that anything to do with glass they don’t cover but then again i know a few person that it allready happend and there dealer covered it under warrenty!! I think my dealer is a bit hard to deal with when it comes to anything warrenty even after buying a 2500$ extended warrenty ! I understand if it would accidently but just by driving down a paved road a window should not shatter !!

Have seen happen on various trucks & SUVs. Guessing it is in some kind of bind. Different windows as well.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry about the bad luck. Is that a headache rack installed? My guess is that would be a contributing factor.

welcome, might want to check a local junkyard for a crewcab Tundra and see if you can pry a left rear window out of a junkyard Tundra (that is if there are any in there between all the Fords, Chevy's, and Dodges :bananadance:)

You don't need it anyway, the headrest was covering most of it anyway - Duct Tape will solve this problem.

I assume the window has been in the truck since day 1 as well. I would verify all your hardware is tight. Even if everything is tight, bed flex is real. My forensic reconstructive mind begs to know... did you hit the pothole on your driver's side?

Looks like a 3 piece window. Im suprised you had to buy a whole rear window and not just that section.

A few years back a co-worker had a Tahoe (2005ish), he thought it was possessed. Rear passenger window shattered two different times while parked! We could only surmise that TX summer heat & dark gray color built up pressure and found weak link.
Vandalism dismissed, no glass pieces inside, only on the outside.
