My 08 tundra will crank and then shut down. It will do it a couple of times and I let it sit for a couple of minutes and then it will crank and run like nothing is wrong with it. It has happened twice in the past 3 weeks. Any clue what is going on?

    Miles?

    You need air, spark, fuel.

I’m betting your losing prime on your fuel system. First time you crank the system is priming, second time it starts normally.

If your over 100k miles, have you swapped out the old spark plugs yet? I believe the service was at 120k miles, but I would do them much earlier than that.

It has 142k on it. I’m going to replace plugs this weekend.
