    I just picked up a 05 Tundra
I'm look to put in a new stereo.
I want one that I can have a back up camera display on it and also still keep my steering wheel controls. I really like having the volume on the wheel.
Washed it today. Debaged it and waxed it.

I installed a Sony XAV-AX100 in my 2010, including the addition of a backup camera.

I just did a backup camera on my 04 last week, it's a pretty easy job especially if you have the towing package because all the necessary wires are exposed. There's also a convenient grommet under the drivers seat to get the wiring into the cab.

For your steering wheel controls there are harnesses out there. Crutchfield will have what you need, they can be more expensive but you'll get everything you need and if you're not comfortable with wiring they'll send it to you all assembled for an extra $25.

Thank you I found this one in Miramar off the 805. It was a great deal.

Ill have no problem doing the wires. I have a good Solder iron and heat shrink. I guess I'll just buy the harness to enable me to keep my steering wheel controls.
the stock head unit sucks ,, It's JBL but it needs to go ha ha ha.

    Looks nice. Nice write up.

Looks like I'll be replacing my carrier bearing before the radio. It's making noise.

Where did you mount the camera? There is a replacement tailgate handle with built-in camera for 2nd gen Tundras, but I am wondering where and how to mount mine on my 2001.

Mine came with a bracket to mount on the license plate.
