Ins co wants a doc from toyota saying splice repairing the 02 harness is not acceptable repair b4 they pay for a harness.

Dealer is backed up, ins co will NOT pay for oem cats pipes...so doing repairs myself.

A splice will change the resistance in the wire thus giving the computer a different from actual reading, correct?

If im correct can anyone point me in the right direction for docs? Tech serv bulletin would be awesome if it exists.

To give you an idea of what im dealing with they qouted a napa front pipe...out of stock and the estimate price is $200 less than the online price...just one example.

Why do they have to be so difficult?

    TIA
