Picked up another Prelude. My buddy was selling it because he’s moving and wanted it to go to a good home so I said I’d take it so I could save money on gas, the Tundra is killing me. It wasn’t molested by ricers and still looks factory.

199k miles, H22A4 with the M2Y4 manual transmission.

She made the 725 mile trip from Bristol, TN to Hammond, LA without one issue. We replaced the power steering pump and a few lines here and there before we left. This week I’ll be doing several things to get her in tip top shape.

Lol. I’ve yet to find another car that is as fun to drive. This is my 3rd one, I had a ‘94, ‘00’ and this ‘99. I prefer the 5th gens

I love those, my first car was a 97. I think they look great and are a ton of fun to drive, pretty quick for what it is

Oh yeah I prefer the 5th gens myself as well. Mine was all stock on the outside except for clear corners. Engine just had basic bolt ons nothing fancy and stock exhaust. I used to wash mine every week and wax it about once every couple of months. I worked at a carwash during high school and we could do anything we wanted for free so why not. Right after I graduated I moved to an apartment in a bigger city. Well 2 months after being there it was stolen by someone in my hometown. I was able to recover it 6 weeks later. In that six weeks the guy manage to spray the entire outside in black primer, put some crazy looking blue triangles across the hood, rip out the entire inside and swapped them with another set from another car to avoid the vin numbers on them, during that process he painted each panel a different color in metallic paint, chop the springs to lower it, chop the exhaust off, made the speedo no longer work, and made 3rd gear grind every time.

Hopefully you got the good friend discount ;)

I lived 20 minutes down the road from Bristol in high school.

Nice! My previous car before the Tundra was a white '96 del sol (affectionately called the del slow by my wife, i'm sure she's the first to ever do that haha). It met its final demise at an intersection with a 1990-something Ram. No damage was done to the Ram of course. That was the third time it had been totaled, my wife and I had driven it for ten years. It had just under 200k, and the only non-regular maintenance work we ever had to do it was replace the exhaust because it literally rusted out from under the car and wouldn't pass inspection anymore.

I wish I could afford another one to keep unnecessary miles off the Tundra!

yeah it was a sad day to say the least. I ended up selling it for stupid cheap to an old friend and used that money to get a Maxima with a manual in it. I just needed something to drive but I gotta admit, that little Maxima with the v6 and manual would move.

I with I still had those pictures but I've moved so many times since then I have no idea where they are.

Man that's sharp. I always liked the Prelude. Just be careful, they are so small. We lost two classmates when I was in high school because an 18 wheeler essentially ran them over.

I’m replacing the passenger side cv, I think it’s the culprit of the vibration. Auto zone gave me the wrong axle seal so I’m on the way back to Honda to get the correct one, they have 2 in stock I couldn’t believe it. Lol

How do y’all like my axle puller?:rofl:
