How much drop?

Looking at getting ball and bar, class4 Curt w 10000/1000 rating to give more capacity over my older class 3s I have. What drop would you reco? 2 or 4 "?

are you talking about the ball mount for your hitch? if so, a 2" drop is typical.

 

Depends on height of tongue on trailer pulled most often. Can vary drastically from landscape trailers, equipment trailers, car haulers, enclosed, and campers.

Yeah ball mount. Thanks for help. I have a landscape trailer but was thinking of renting a small bobcat type. rental company said about 6000 pounds including the trailer. I have no idea about height etc.

So I wanted to get a new ball mount and ball that will far exceed that weight. I think my ball mounts now are rated for 5000
