Hi considering upgrading to a TRD supercharger. Anyone have any insight? Would I have to add dual exhaust too?

    Too many TRD parts
I have one on my 12 tundra and smile every time I hit the gas. Just make sure your truck is not flex fuel if going with the trd version. If it is flexfuel look to use the magnuson sc which is the same company that made the trd.

You would not have to upgrade exhaust but it is a nice upgrade.

Magnuson made the trd supercharger, but the trd supercharger isn't compatible with 17's. You have to get this guy:

    https://www.sparksparts.com/accesso...ta-5.7l-magnuson-supercharger-01-19-57-107-bl

I believe there's a forum discount code you can search for.

If you want some first hand experience @1UPPER is your guy.

TRD discontinued the supercharger. Magnuson make a great one though, but it will void your warranty. I’ve been dying to get one for my 2018, but they say they are waiting for Bullydog to get them a programmer. ☹️

    Flux capacitor!
Welcome to the forum! Is your truck a flex fuel truck? Yes I have a Magnuson SC on a flex fuel Tundra. You don’t have to run dual exhaust but your Tundra will run better with the dual exhaust. If you have a flex fuel, then you don’t have to change your injectors or fuel pump. If it’s not flex fuel, then you will have to change the enjectors and fuel pump. Flex fuel trucks come with a large fuel pump and injectors to be compatible with E-85 ethanol fuel. Magnuson to recommend a certain spark plug for the SC, so make sure to follow there recommendations on that. Tuning is everything on a SC and you need to watch your air/fuel ratio. If your really serious about doing it then find a shop with lots of experience and who is very familiar with the tune or install. Best of luck to you!
