is anyone using the rough country hard Tri-Fold bed cover?

    https://www.roughcountry.com/toyota-hard-tri-fold-bed-cover-45714551.html

I called RC and asked about using it with the cargo management system and the guy kind of hesitated and then said “uhh yeah I think you will just have to drill new brackets for that or something like that”. Doesn’t make sense to me that you would need to be drilling the bed to install the bed cover.

My cover will be here Friday. I ordered an Extang Solid Fold 2.0 just for the reason of easy on easy off. I ordered it through real truck. No drill. But, I just wanted it for dry storage. Not heavy duty security.

I have the extang solid fold and I really like it, but it’s not completely dry. You will get water in the bed when it rains.

Yea I had one on my last truck. If it got water in it was close to the bedside. I also have a dry bag as big as the bed of I really need dry storage. I use my cover to keep things out of sight out of mind is all. Nothing stays in there overnight. I look at it as about $1K for semi safe storage and $2K for safe storage.

Has anyone had any issue with the MX4 and dents because its aluminum? Like from hail or a tree branch falling on it. I think I might sway towards the Extang solid fold for that reason only.
