I figured that the original spare was just dead weight under my '15 CM with a 4" suspension lift and running 20" SIX-OR Rotiform wheels. I actually tried putting the spare on anyway this weekend and confirmed it - the spare bumps the suspension. So, I need a solution.

I cannot go larger on the total diameter of the spare because I'm going to keep it stored under the bed. I was thinking that I'll either try and find a cheap wheel that has the offset I need or consider carrying a good spacer that I'll put on with the spare if/when I need it.

I checked the Rotiform site and it says that my model of wheel has an "Offset" of "1"...?

Also, I don't have much of a clue on how to measure for either solution. Anyone have suggestions?

I'd get a spacer for now. At least it'll get you home, or to the shop. You can fit 35" tire in the spare location, few posts on it somewhere on here.

You can get the 35” under the bed. I did.

Not sure what suspension you have but you don’t need to get the exact same offset as your wheels. You don’t even need a 20” wheel. I’d look for something cheap with at least a +25 offset. Installing spacers at night on the side of the freeway is going to suck.

The thought of doing that fills me with dread albeit a tiny bit less than not even being able to get the spare on the lugs!

I'll have to look for the post on how that was done because the brackets and bumper spacing only allows for the factory full size spare under my bed. Must have cut the brackets off...

    That’s what she said.

Is the stock cable strong enough to hold a 35 long term?

I think I just found the post you guys were referring to by @bandit. According to him he removed the tabs, hitch and the muffler box. I'm not good with that. I could see cutting off the tabs but that's it.

Any advice on where to look for cheap wheels? Cheapest option on Tire Rack for +255mm offset are $170.

To fit 35’s all you need to do is cut off the 2 guides.
