    Hello,
Know it’s been beat to death I’m sure but thought I’d ask. Have a bit of a different question. I have just purchased a used 1794 crew it has the “trd off-road” stickers but looks like the previous owner had upgraded the suspension to what I’ve read comes on the pro. Current tires I’m happy with the KO2’s (have them on the 4runner) as they are great in my driving conditions. They are just tiny to me but stock size on 275/65/18 trd wheels. Not wanting to lift or mess with suspension this year as I’ll use the 4runner to off-road. Just looking for no rub (pulling front mud flaps) tire size. Thanks for any input! Photos are of what’s on.

I have had both sizes on my pro. My MPG went down a bit with the larger size, but nothing crazy. 275/70/18 with stock pro suspension and 285/70/18 with the CB PRO kit.

That’s a nice truck you bought. Bet it rides awesome. 275/70/18 would look good in my opinion.

Thanks for the info everyone! Ended up getting wrangler duratrac after some good info from someone with same driving habits. I’ll be able to at least see a comparison between the KO’s on our 4runner and these. Went with 275/70/18 which was a great fill of wheel wells, no rub or mud flap removal after a couple turns in forward reverse etc. today. I’ll update how they do off road but stoked so far. Did have a noticeable gain in the garage tonight when home in height but the old tires were also bald:)

What type of suspension mod did you do? I'm looking to upgrade tires and rims to the TRD PRO Wheels, I'm just unsure of tire size yet.

What setup does a TRD PRO have? 2.5 up front and 1" in the back? or is there no block in the rear?

No blocks. The pro suspension gives you a level with a 2.5in lift.

so if I have a SR5 and trying to make the stance like a pro, do I need blocks in the rear?

Sorry for the late reply’s. From what I’ve gathered after 2nd owner on this from a dealer is a couple things.
I believe previous owner upgraded the suspension at purchase to the trd pro bilstein suspension. I’ve been happy thus far as the ride quality is great. Had a couple snow storms and snowboarding trips in CO since he new tires and have been on and can’t complain! Been a couple years since I’ve had a truck and my last vehicle was off road beast. Wife and I’ve got 3 kiddos so this has been a great transition for the family. Only issue I’ve run into is a small rub on lower control arm hard left turn on these tires which some more research will be corrected.

The Pro rear is the same as SR5, no lift. The closest you can get outside of buying Pro suspension is the Bilstein 6112/5160 combo.

    New to the forum
Been looking for years, and finally found my truck.... 2016 Charcoal TRD PRO
Found it in FL ... had the Best road trip ever, picking it up, with my son.
He did make me stop at every Chick-fil-A on the way home though....
Looking at tire options, and would like to stay stock with respect to suspension and lift for now.

    I like the BFG KO2
    size is a big question...
    275 65R18 stock
    275 70R18 approx 1" gain in diameter
295 65R18 approx 1" gain in diameter + gain in width

like the 295 option, but with no flares, will the side of truck get spayed with debris?
Will the increase in tire diameter effect performance or drive train durability?
    Appreciate any suggestions....

Well done! Same on this side of the family our kids are stoked with the truck/road trips we’ve taken.

Couple updates from the original post that I hope help.
    > went with 275/70/18 duratrac’s
    > rubbed for about a week in hard left turn 3 times
    > felt like left driver ended up being passenger skid plate
    > easy trim/bend of factory plate no issues now will update after off-road flex

@nda245 Hello! I’m “that guy” that try’s to get as much info on everything so these were an educated decision thus far. I’ve ran toyo’s On my last Jeep mt that were amazing for the conditions. I built a 14 trail 4runner and put in the KO2’s that have been rockstars for off-road/on road and tread life (30k) with more to come. Had a great deal on he durtacs when I was looking so decided to try them out. Only have about 1k miles but had 3?snow storms ice, slush, little powder and have been impressed. Feels safe stable at highway speeds and through some mountain passes so will update as they gets one dirt under the nails;)
