Are there any other avid bowlers and / or golfers out there in the tundras.com world? I've caught a lot of crap from my buddies over the years due to my love for the "old man sports" as they like to put it.

Living in the Midwest, bowling gives me something to do in the cold weather months when there isn't much else to be done for fun outside.

I carry about a 215 average bowling and fluctuate between a 1-3 handicap for golf.

Avid golfer might be a stretch, but I enjoy the game! I just got back from Scottsdale and got my first taste of a desert course, it was a lot of fun!

I've been to Arizona in January. Golf is not cheap out there this time of year. Desert golf is a lot of fun. I brought an extra club to hit out of the scrub. I was in it more often than I care to admit. Haha!

Yeah there prices were through the roof! But coming from Tennessee where everything is brown and dead, it was a nice change of scenery.

I actually played that course pretty well, and only hit into the desert once. I wasn’t about to take my new PXG irons and hit out of that junk though, so I just moved the ball to the rough.

Overall I had a great time and hope to do it again!

You guys need to come out here in the summer. The nice courses are cheap, cheap, cheap. It's a dry heat.

The post made me chuckle. I've often told friends if I ever go missing, not to look for me in a bowling alley. Golf? Only if I can play it with a shotgun.

I was out there in May a few years back and it was high 90s, low 100s. Felt better than our 80-85 and high humidity in Indiana. Dry heat is pretty comfortable until you get to a certain temp.

Been bowling since I was about off and on because of military service for the last 32 years. Had to give it up about 6 months ago due to rotator cuff injury though. Couple of 300's in my time and averaged anywhere between 205-215 depending on house/shot. Golf I was never good at. Got a birdie once on a 9 hole par 3 course! LOL

I love playing golf, if that’s what you call what I do on a course. Not good to say the least but I have a lot of fun.
There’s a local little “hacker’s” course that we play almost every week from March to October or so. Every now and then we get out on a “big boy” course.
