What does the hatch on the Pro skid plate access?

I tracked down a used TRD pro skid plate and put it on today. I was wondering what this little hatch accessed.

 

What year is your TRD? Mine is an 04 and I want to modify mine so I have easy access to the oil filter. That steel looking plug looks like the oil filter housing on yours. My wife has an Avalon and that is where the oil filter is located. Its an internal filter. I could be wrong but that is what it looks like.

Its a horsepower redistribution plug. The other manufacturers dont have enough horsepower for their trucks so the government forced Toyota to piss out excellence and give it back to the auto industry to protect the other manufacturers from going belly up. This would lose jobs if those manufacturers went under. So we are doing them a courtesy.

 

I haven't had any luck finding any used TRD Pro stuff... egh, oh well..
