Yeah, just sucks that something doesn't work. How could one LED pod take out both fog lights like this? I don't get it.

I was reading somewhere there is a relay for the tail lights that may affect the fogs, anyone know where that might be?

Ok, I put the grey/pink wire AFL mod back to stock.

I bent the back right prong of the fog relay out, connected a wire to it and grounded it.

I now have fog lights, and they work just like the grey/pink wire AFL mod, but my switch doesn't control them anymore, since the relay is grounded.

Which means, I need a new stalk/switch on the steering wheel?

You made two changes, reversing the afl mod AND grounding the fog lights. Bend the relay tab back....see if the stalk works again.

No stalk doesn't work for the fogs. Seems like fuses and relays should have burned up before a $150 switch, but what the fuck do I really know. Leaving like this I guess, unless anyone has a deal on a stalk?

It works for everything but the fog lights so who knows. Don't try putting rigid duallys as your fog lights is the lesson learned...

When you do the mod this way you completely take the switch out of the equation. If you returned the wiring back to stock you should be able to bend the prong on the relay back and everything should work as stock. If they don't come on try your original relay. It's been a rare occasion that I've had a relay go bad but I have seen relays fail after a prong gets bent too far and it cracks. So now 2 questions and I'm not questioning your ability so no offense meant but, are you sure you bent the right tab on the relay? And were you into the right pink wire on the original mod? The relay seems an unlikely culprit but there are several pink wires pretty close together under the column on our trucks.

So I had the mood working for a few months perfectly fine. I plugged the rigid light in and that's when nothing worked anymore. So I reversed the grey and pink wire mod back to stock. I tried the fog lights completely stock and they didn't work. I had already replaced the relay and tested all fuses multiple times. So to bypass the switch I grounded the back right prong of the relay and voila, lights work. So they now come on with parking lights and headlights regardless of whether the switch has them on or off.

    See fine print
This. It’s either 1) fuse is blown or 2) the pins in the stock harness got damaged.

Just like the grey and pink wire mod except switch doesn't control them anymore. They are just on with parking and headlights. They are off for DRLs...

Hahaha maybe, i used the stock relay just on a whim and said fuck it, let's try. I had previously bent the same prong and wired it to an ignition source but the lights were always on with ignition so I undid that quickly. Works well just being grounded and beats buying a new switch for over a hundred bucks.

3-1 level kit with add a leaf. 295/70/18r cooper max. Spider head light tail light and third brake light, tint, badges off, ladder racks, trd pro grill, color matched hood bulge, grab handle, coach builder +2, dv8 front bumper with winch, fender flares, bed cover....
Quick question I have this problem trying not to buy a switch. I installed led fogs and the spider headlights and tail lights. Everything worked for a month then foglights stopped working and all of my running lights. I have power to my running lights but no power to my fog lights. All my fuses are good and heckled relay. I assume it has to be switch. I broke off the one prong of relay. I saw someone do this and they said they grounded a wire from the relay. Where or what does this mean and how do i do it.

I had a very similar issue. Installed new fog lamps, blue LEDs. They worked for about a month. 30 days after installing the fogs, I installed new headlamps, blue LEDs to match the fogs. Once I installed the headlamps the fogs stopped working. I spent days trying to sort this out. I turned to the internet for help and found this blog and was hoping I would find out how 650h1 resolved the issue but there was no solution posted. Damn! So I then started trying what other folks suggested in this blog. I checked all the fuses and all the relays under the dash and under the hood. I took it to my mechanic just to have him check things. We were perplexed. I actually set up a time to drop my truck off at the shop for him to troubleshoot this next Thursday and Friday. I had given up and was willing to pay someone to fix it. I recalled that 650h1 was contemplating replacing his switch stick. I had an AHA moment!!..... Well, I figured it out this morning after nearly a week of puzzlement, the switch to the fogs was in the off position on the switch stick. Turned them on and it was like Clark Griswold getting his Christmas lights to work on Christmas Vacation! Whatever, your solution is I hope you get the satisfaction I had!

20190125_205743.jpg My 2014 blew the fuse also due to water in one of them shorting out the LED bulb. I found the fuse in the engine compartment and is 15 watts

I have a 2018, I installed ridgid dulies in it, they worked fine for at least a month or so. Tonight I tried to turn them on to get more light and they didn’t work. I tried all the combinations of off and on with the light switch and the high low beams and nothing worked. I just thought about this as I read this post trying to figure out the cure. Has anyone tried disconnecting the battery for a little while to see if it’s a computer problem. I am going to try it in the morning and see if it makes a difference. Sometimes disconnecting the battery and touching the +- it will reset the computer. I remember reading somewhere on here when someone tried to plug in LED tail lights and the truck's computer didn’t like it. I’ll report back in the morning and let you know what happens.

So I tried it out... it didnt work. I am a little upset about all this, this truck only has about 10k on it and problems like this should not exist, I guess i should have also not replaced the fog lights before they were broken. If anyone finds something out please post.

Damn, im having the same issue, but I swapped mine with the OEM led, and now its not working. So I switch it back to the stock, no luck. I did everything to what you guys said in this post with no luck. Im dropping it off it off at the dealer and see what they are going to say. If its a pretty penny im just gonna leave it as is. I hardly use is. Just knowing it doesnt work just bug the F’N out of me.

I took mine in , And they said i had excessive aftermarket stuff, and i said can you check it anyway and I’ll pay for it.
So they checked it and it was the fuse , there are two fuses for the fog lights , one under the hood and another one on the inside side panel. I checked the one under the hood but i didn’t check the one under the side panel i was pissed already. The one on the inside panel was busted so they replaced it and didnt charge me. I know i should have checked it to save me the trouble. Hope that helps.

Changed out my 15A FOGFR fuse with the extra ones in the box and everything worked again. Time to buy some spare fuses.

These cheap Amazon LED bulbs might have a lot to do with it.

To be honest, i’m just glad they’re working again. If the fuse blows out again, i’ll investigate.
