I know your post is well over a year old, but your truck with the ARE Z shell looks amazing. Are you still happy with the Truck Cap?

I really like that shell! Any issues so far ? How is the final product fit and finish ?

No issues whatsoever. Paint and color match were spot on. I have a buddy that has one over 10 years old on his '08 and it looks great.

I had an ARE Z series on my 06 DC Tundra. Never a single issue in 11 years, and it looked like the day I bought when washed and waxed, even after 11 years.

I wish I had had the patience to wait for an ARE when I got the LEER for my current 2017 CM. Leer was 17-21 days out. ARE was 8-10 weeks at that time (fall 2018).
Quality of the Leer doesn't touch the ARE in my case. Fit and finish, of fiberglass, interior carpet, plus the ARE never leaked one drop in 11 years. Leer leaked the first time it rained straight from the factory. I will say, the dealer removed and resealed the windows without issue or question, but it still cost me 4 hours of my time, plus the frustration.
    YMMV.

ANy of you guys have interior shots of ARE. Like how is the carpet glued how are the window bolts. Mine in SnugTop look like they used over power drill and ripped through the windows. Installing bolts. Like everything looks like crap in Snugtop and i checked they are all like that. I wish I would have researched a bit more. Wondering if ARE interior is any better. I saw Leer and their interior windows are also crap like mine.

My feeling is these American OLD companies are taking our money but not putting in the effort to match our OEM vehicles at all. I think for the amount of cash they take we should expect some quality and better support from warranty as well.

When I priced one in fall 2018, out the door price with the options I wanted (mainly only the factory roof track - I already had the crossbars and towers), with tax was ~$2400 IIRC.
I also wanted a CargoSlide or BedSlide, which is another grand installed.

Searched CL for a bargain cap for almost a year and, finally, this one popped up last week. Pretty basic Snugtop with rack tracks, 3 Yakima racks, and a brand new ARB 8ft awning.

    Paint is coming next.

Well done! Looks like you like to do what I like doing, that is, exploring the west off the beaten trail and camping out in the truck. Good job on that paint btw. Like what you are doing inside as well. I'm thinking out my interior setup now that I have my snugtop on it and the bedrug inside. I'll probably buy one of those tent-extender things that covers over the open back rear window and open tailgate, to provide an extra couple feet in length to my short bed while camping, and attach my toolbox, shovel and fire extinguisher to the railsys. Recovering from surgery so haven't done anything inside yet, but I did get a pic first of course, Snugtop XTRA Vision with the poplock and lift up front window. Next, some real tires (probably Duratracs).

Nice, like the color ;) Enjoy the new truck! Cap looks good on there. Are those the original Michelin tires on there? I see you got them out in a bit of snow, wondering how they worked there. I found they worked great on wet pavement but terrible in sand and loose over hardpack, but have no idea how they work in light snow or snow on pavement.

Thought I would post a shot of my last Tundra, which was a great truck BTW, with its Snugtop Hi-liner. Loved that top, had one on my 94 V6 Toyota too and wanted one for my new truck but it would not clear the height of the parking structure at work. Don't see many of them here but it's a good choice if you want a bit more headroom.
