So Im currently installing a Fortin Evo one remote start and was instructed by the seller to splice into a gray wire near the ignition so a few moments later I learned my positaps werent working and tried to manually splice into it. while trying to splice it I just ended up cutting it since it is so damn thin. well I tried to salvage as much as I could and was able to make a sauter with the wire tapped and the car starts everything is just fine but I'm so upset at my hack job. so I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a new harness or connector for the column so I can replace it and do a cleaner job. im pretty sure the wire I was splicing into was the for key sense so fixing it will give me the piece of mind that one day I won't be stranded somewhere because the key sense stopped working. when I try to google it, all I find are engine harnesses and radio harnesses.

You will need to get that from the dealer or a junk yard id you can find one. The next time get the Fortin harness for the Tundra. It should be either a Toy-10 or Toy-2 for your truck but check with Fortin to confirm.

I found the part number for the connector and luckily was able to find it on eBay so after if fix that up I will be set. I saw 12 volt solutions had another T harness added to their kit specifically for the cable that I had to tap so I might try calling and ordering that when the time comes. I was looking on fortins site and they didn't recommend using a toy10 or toy2. the one I got came with a toy7 which is what they recommended.

Glad you found what you need. I guess the 17's with the G key use a different harness. Mine has an H key.

@STE4DY do you happen to have or remember that pin connector number, I currently have the same issue and in need of a new pin to fix my key sense wire, got it rigged up and working for now. But it's driving me insane knowing it's in there like it is. Or @Roman if you would happen to know by chance. Thanks in advance!!!(know this is an old post but I'm having no luck finding these little blasted pins)
