I may have missed it, but assuming your main goals were fuel efficiency and keeping the bed rug dry?

Pretty cool cover for those purposes.

Ever consider a Diamondback cover? They are a little spendy at 1600.00, but it’s nice to be able to lock, seal out the weather, and load some pretty impressive weight on top of them (400 lbs) and tie it down.

Sounds like the trip up to northern Alaska will be epic. Have a blast on that trip.

I was looking at this, but I've heard of occasions where people were unable to open the cover because there's something tall loaded towards the front of the truck not allowing it to collapse down. They then had to unload everything from the back with the cover closed. Have you experienced this?

the main purpose for me was that i needed a full bed with no cover to block its access at times... and keep stuff out of sight. opening it if something slides to the back might be a problem... i have not had that...thats why i waited 3 months to do this video ....i will do a one year review.

I have a Diamondback cover. I can't picture how an item in the bed and under the cover could prevent the cover from opening. The hinges are on the top of the cover; the covers move up and away from the bed when they're opened. I don't see how a large item in the bed and under the cover could inhibit raising the cover. Maybe someone can explain what to look out for.

ETA -never mind, I misread your post. I see that the concern is not being able to close the cover. That could definitely happen.

The one in the video I can definitely see that happening , because of it dropping down to fold up.

??? The concern is being able to open the cover as the Peragon cover collapses INTO the bed as it folds towards the front. Sure, you could avoid loading things up there, but while driving if something like a cooler slides towards the front of the bed, it may impede the cover from collapsing into the bed. Now your cover is stuck closed and opening it would constitute you crawling into the bed to unload the stuff blocking the cover. In this situation, I hope your not fully loaded or your going to be on your stomach for a long time trying to unload a full bed while not hitting your head on the cover.

Very good/valid concerns there. I like my roll-up. Best money IMHO.

I like the look of that cover a lot. but the design would drive me nuts. not being able to fold it up with the bed loaded. Also not being able to open it up of there is any water on top cuz it'll pour into the bed. A few major design flaws IMO.

ya... that.... its not for everyone for sure... i have not had that problem YET. ....all the covers have compromises one way or another... the Roller box ones are probably the best i guess..but $1800 oooo!! This was $775 shipped if i recall.

My dad had one of those covers on his 13. Leaked like a champ. Hope you have a better experience.
I have this one. My dad has it now too based on my experiences. Not secure but it keeps the weather out. Have had mine for 2 years still in great condition and still keeping the bed dry.

I had retrax cover on my tacoma. Tough cover. So is your paragon. Makes the bed super secure. But that retrax didn't keep the water out either. It seems it is tough to find a cover that is water proof, secure and can be rolled up or moved of the way to put tall items in without actually removing the cover.

Bed security was the least of my needs which is why I went with the soft roll up. My dad loved that cover other then the leakyness. Never had it jam up and it didn't take up much bed space. That's one thing about that retrax was the box took up about a foot of bed space.

I love the look of this, and I'm very interested due to your review, can't beat that price and I can't do a vinyl due to the snow pile up, don't want to risk it. I wonder the durability of this one in the snow as well as far as rusting. Man I miss Dallas, I've got a house in Forney.

I have a bak revolver x2 tonneau and have no issues with snow load. In fact I can walk on my cover, it rolls up really nicely and has been water tight. Cost was right around 700 IIRC
