I have a 18 FFV and smoked when I cranked up after lunch. Smoked like oil? Ideas? My tuck will me dropped off for lift installed Do I need to be worried about the smoke?

    I'm going with just condensation,
Iv had it happen 1, maybe 2 times to me in 5 years.
    I'm not worried about it.

White/blue color. Smelled like oil! Flipped me out! Only 3,000 on the truck

I would address the smoke before lifting the truck. Just in case.

That’s was one of my questions if nothing else get it documented before my lift. So I have to push my appointment back for my lift. If I had my lift on there and this happen would they still fix it?

I’m sure the smoke will be completely unrelated to a lift and you would be fine, but you just never know what dick move a dealership will try to pull.

Very true! I call in the am and see what they say and ask them if my lift was on what would have happen. New truck and smoke coming out wow. Seems like it’s my last F-350. I ordered my lift and rims last week and I have to take my truck to the lift shop to look at my drive shaft to see if I need a drop down bearing... I think that is what they told me. I might see if I can get my money back for the damn lift and look at getting and diff truck. I had all diesels for 20 years and heard great things about Tundra and still great even when a lift is on it!!

I’ve had this twice with my ‘08, both times within a week of each other, and then nothing since in over a year. It never consumes oil enough to detect with the dipstick either. I did buy a new PCV valve a while back, but haven’t replaced it yet. On an ‘18 I’d have it documented and carry on with life. Time will tell.

Oem tonneau, side steps, spray in liner. Trd skidplate.
By chance did you floor it/ acellerate very hard within a few miles before stopping for lunch. The 5.7 will smoke at start up everytime if you romped on it within a few miles of stopping, my '14 did it and my '18 will do it. Something with the design of the pvc system as the '18 only smokes out the passenger side of the trd duals

Edit: normally I notice this at start up in the morning

Spoke with the dealer about the smoke and fuel mileage going down and they said it was normal on the FFV to do that. Told me to keep a eye on it and if it keeps doing it bring it in. So I pushed my install for lift anothe week!
