Riding my motorcycle on a two lane winding country road I encountered a fellow driving a pickup straddling the yellow line in the middle of the road driving the opposite direction as I was entering a blind turn. Lucky for me I had just enough room to miss his bumper but my left footpeg and boot contacted his left front wheel and tire. That busted off my shifter and broke my footpeg. My compadre had a pair of vice grips that we attached to the shifter and I rode the bike back home thanking my lucky stars that I didn't kiss this joker's front bumper . . .
He was sending a message to motorcyclists that day.
"Don't ride through my neighborhood having a good time like that !"

    Just take their license...

If someone steals a car and drives drunk in it, then that innocent victim loses their car?

Careful, people have dashcams now. I know it’s technically their fault but brake checking is illegal. Im all for slowing down to mess with them. I prefer to decide to clean my windshield when they’re on my ass. I get a kick out of watching them get irritated. I just play oblivious. I’ve even done it to someone who decides to obliviously do it to me. That way they have to clean it again. I don’t tailgate.

Good thing the United states supreme court has ruled they are in fact not unconstitutional. They save lives. What's not to like?

    1. Left Laners not passing and just hogging stuff up (Cops around here seem to be pulling them over though)

People who drive with two feet. They don’t know how to coast the only know gas or brake and often I’ll see them on the highway gently riding their brake while accelerating and they don’t know it.

Also thanks for actually giving viable solutions instead of just saying there are better ways. I cop in a large city we have are very own DUI squad as well as a fatal crash team. Your points work well but check points work well too if not better. Statistically, a moving object is more likely to come into contact with a stationary object(DUI checkpoint) then another moving object(roving patrol). They work well but i do understand your frustrations and respect your opinion.

My post was a bit facetious in the objects being taken. Point is, the current penalties are a joke. And taking someone's license doesn't really do anything. They can still hop in a car and take it for a spin

    My two main ones are,

When I’m turning left onto a main road at a stop sign and the car from the right doesn’t signal before turning left off the main road or they signal 2’ before the turn.

People waiting til the last second to pull out in front of me and do -10 mph to impede my speed then take off like they are being chased.

The Concept of "Informing others of your intentions" with Turn Signals, is lost on quite a few "Drivers" these days. I swear it seems like they think their Turn Signals are what control the vehicle sometimes!

Right. Either they are not used at all or just as they start overtaking your lane they turn them on as to say “I’m coming over, ready or not”. I need a beater and a dash cam to show them their bad decisions. Currently my trucks to new for games so I brake.

I didn’t know people really drove with two feet  And also when cars in all 3 lanes go the same speed limit so you can’t pass. People who turn left to go right and vice versa

I saw someone get pulled over by a New Jersey State Trooper for doing this!

We were driving up to Maine if I remember correctly and there was this foreign lady in a compact sedan just moseying along. A marked Crown Vic tailgated her for a couple miles and then finally pulled her over for being a left lane hog.

As with quite a few people these days, their mind is a million miles away. These are usually the ones who'll sit in a Turn Only lane and when the light changes to green, they signal, AS they're turning!o_O

I saw a F350 tailgating a smaller vehicle, smaller vehicle break checked him but he wasn't paying attention, it was not pretty. Don't know what the aftermath was but if that smaller vehicle had anyone survive it would have been a miracle.

Trade liberty for safety or money and you'll end up with neither. Liberty, like a grain of salt, easily dissolves. The power of questioning - not simply believing - has no friends. Yet liberty depends on it.

Driving through the mountains and for some reason the flatlanders need to ride their breaks all the way downhill and through every turn. Take your freaking foot of the gas and let the transmission hold you back.
Oh, and move over in the slow lane when going up the mountain. What should have been a 2 hour drive this morning was 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Today's peeps won't DARE touch their shifter for ANY reason, except for P-D or R. The Brakes are their only option. This is evident by all the Tundra owner's, who'd never dream of actually using their Tundra's Sequential Shifter!:notsure:

    1) people in the left lane driving slower than the traffic behind them

    2) people who can't maintain speed with their foot or figure out their cruise control, constantly riding on you then falling back, up, then back

    3) texting and driving... it's been long enough for the a-shats to realize this is a bad idea

    4) people in the left lane driving slower than the traffic behind them

    5) bastards that drive without insurance.

    6) people who wait till the absolute last minute to try to merge when they knew the lane was ending a mile+ back

    7) last but not least, people in the left lane driving slower than the traffic behind them. a-holes.

    - people that pull out in front of you going the same direction on a one lane street when there was no one behind you.

    - dummies that don't know what a blinker is.

    - people that don't turn their brights or light bars off at night when passing other vehicles.

    - semis that wait until you're ALMOST up next to them to put a blinker on and pull into your lane. Almost rear ended one once in my old eclipse.. would not have ended well for me.

    - tailgaters. I'm going 10 over, what do you want from me??

    - people that block intersections because they didn't wanna wait 2 extra minutes to get through the light.

    - texting and driving. I once passed a girl on the highway (i was in the middle lane and she was in the left lane) who was texting, and there was an ambulance coming up behind her. Completely oblivious.

    - people that roll through stop signs because they want to go first.

    - people that don't know what the zipper is.

    - people that swerve instead of braking. Not even two months after owning my tundra I had someone swerve into my lane causing me to go onto the curb because someone pulled out in front of them. They were right in line with me and it was either screw up my alignment, which I needed checked anyway, or scratch my new baby. I'd've beat someone's butt that day if they scratched my Thunder.

    - this one's been said but I have to reiterate it. rubberneckers. WHY. WHY do you need to slow down to see the person on the OTHER SIDE of the highway changing a tire??? People be nosy.

I've always been cursed as a driver.. It seems I have a giant sign on the front of every vehicle I own that's a target for shitty drivers.
